The Community Survey - dysfunctional ...

To whom it may concern ... the eBay survey that pops up when on The Community is dysfunctional ... when it pops up there are two choices to respond to the Survey request: "Yes, when I am done" or " No Thanks"

When you click "Yes, when I am done" because you have things to check on or respond to it immediately dumps you in to the survey ... please fix this so it actually waits until you are done ...

I believe it has been like that since they first introduced the survey.  It has never worked differently.  Choose, yes, when I'm done, and it throws you right into the survey, as you say.  I guess you are then done!

@mr_lincoln- You must have missed the text at the bottom of the pop-up window in your screenshot.

"If you agree, your survey will open in a new window. Wait until you've completed your visit to take the survey."

As a regular forum poster you should be able to take the survey without waiting until the end of your current session. You've experienced the community enough to provide your feedback.

As are all things at eBay lately ..... it's either what they want when they want it (like GTC) or it's dysfunctional (like many other things).  Smiley Surprised

Unfortunately the above also applies elsewhere.

That's what multiple browser windows or tabs are for.

Good night and good luck

Hi @mr_lincoln

Thanks for sharing. I agree the current design isn't ideal and is a bit annoying. We'll ask our Community platform vendor to consider making improvements to the survey.

At then end of the survey it ask for you to type a response of less than 500 words. I was at 342 or so and it would not let me submit it. Removed spacing and shrunk it down a little but still could not get it to take my answer. Guess its kind of like the community error where it constantly tells you to fix the highlighted error when there are no errors and the error where it tells you there is a html error that needs to be fixed yet all you did was type in your response to a post.

The survey is a minor issue as you can leave the page open till your ready to take it. The issues and errors that are constant when trying to post or reply to a post should be fixed as they have been goin on for months.

Alan, when are we going to get the "go to top" feature restored as you promised several months ago?  It really is needed. Thanks.
