Thank you for helping us catch those bugs! While we did work hard to make sure we caught any issues before we released the new changes to the Community, there might be some issues that we didn’t catch. If you find any issues, please post them only here. The Community team will be actively monitoring this post and we’ll work as fast as we can to get them resolved. No need to @ mention us, if you post here.
Be sure to include links to the pages, screenshots, which browser you’re using and other relevant information you can share.
Update as of 03/05: Thanks for your feedback! I'll be tracking updates here.

I certainly hope that prior to your update Monday that you cancel this latest nonsensical change to the boards and fire the responsible parties, or is the intent of the Community Team to drive away folks who read and post here ?

This all outsourced - the only thing is to fire the 3rd party company that has created this. I doubt that will happen.

This is not in the least user friendly! Scroll, scroll, scroll! I can see the scroll wheel won't last long on the mouse. Difficult to find individual threads. Must click on avatar to find where you last posted to locate the thread. Click on 'most commented on' will get to your favorite thread. That option is found only on a group's home page. And how do you navigate yourself to 'My Ebay'? More hunting and clicking and scrolling. All this white on the pages is hard on the eyes and definitely has fooled my brain into thinking it's day time.
Why were these changes made? What was wrong with the last set of changes? These are even worse! Fix all of these things that numerous members have pointed out or put it back the way it was. Whoever got paid to do this was a waste of money.

I remember when they did the do over with our purchase history/watch pages. It was all about scrollin' scrollin' scrollin'...all the white spaces...sound familiar??? We complained...they kept it. Sure we could go back to the classic view for a while but then they decided to do away with that too...WHY??? Why can't they have both???
Maybe @eburtonlab or @shipscript can explain this to a non-tekkie like me...does having two different formats like they did a few years ago take up too much space on the servers or something? Because if it doesn't...we are all going to crawl out of our minds over this lack of logic.

To use eBay speak, this entire new Community update needs to be deprecated. It removes so many functions that my head is spinning faster than my mouse is scrolling.

No, but having twice as much code to support is definitely a burden; and keeping two different versions compatible is hard and limits the capabilities of the new code. And if the old code is not continuously supported and updated -- like that old "All Lists" page that kept going for three years after all the links to it were scrubbed off the site -- eventually changes to the new code are no longer compatible with the old code, and the old page stops working correctly. Then all the folks relying on the old code start to complain, and no one who originally worked on the old code is around any more to know how to maintain or update it, so it just breaks down.
Sometimes it is just easier to start from scratch, rather than trying to keep patching the old code or developing new code that is compatible with and can run side by side with the old code.

Well, I'm annoyed.

Thank you for explaining this. That makes sense. You are so awesome! 😍

@eburtonlab eBay is over 20 BILLION annually ... they can afford to do both formats. They can also afford their own top off the line programmers opposed to cut rate 3rd party and offshore program hacks ...

@community_team Really? Do you do any UX at all. The pages were already bad now they are even worse. When I first landed on the page I had no idea where I was. You don't need to reinvent the wheel here that are numerous great boards out there. Did you do a full review of those? Did you actually test this with users (experienced and non-experienced) of these boards?
I know internally you probably think our users complain about every change we make so take complaints with a grain of salt but this new look is sad and Khoros does not seem like a top notch vendor worthy of the kind of contracts eBay has to offer.
These boards are supposed to be the way eBay offloads customer support to the community. This new design odes not move that ball down the field.
Sorry, don't crack out the champagne you still have work to do.

they can afford to do both formats.
My point is that maintaining two separate, interconnected systems has costs.
Having an opinion about whether something is "affordable" does not play into it unless you are the one allocating the actual funding.

Agreed. if eBay were to have a full blown contract competition they could probably get an innovative company at a better price. Outsourcing these key functions is standard operating procedure on websites.
Another eBay example, is the out sourcing of managed payments also going swimmingly well by all accounts 🙂

I have 2 eBay accounts: somanypostcards and somanypcs. Today I first viewed Community -> Selling while logged on as somanypostcards and the profile showed somanypostcards. A bit later on my other account, somanypcs, I viewed Community -> Selling and the profile incorrectly showed somanypostcards. The store link took me to the somanypostcards store. Yet I was logged on to eBay as somanypcs.

@eburtonlab And YOUR opinion is noted as well, I have posted on more than one occasion that that's the beauty of the Discussion format ... everybody is welcome to their opinion ...
