Why can't I reply to people on this board? I could answer some of the questions for these people but the reply button is not there! Aggravating!

Because no one wants to hear what you have to say. Hahaha jk.
I think you are referring to the knowledge base section and not the discussion section. You need to be preapproved or something to be able to answer knowledge base questions.
Not here in discussions though. Any idiot can type a reply. I mean... just look at me.

I can't either. I read the answers, though. Those that do answer are very knowledgeable. That doesn't mean you and I can't help on other threads.

I think anyone can reply in most of the knowledge boards as well, except "Commonly Asked Questions" and "Community Mentor Corner."
Other than those two, I do believe it's just restricted on the Member-to-Member Support board or any board that requires "admission," like some of the "Group" boards.

You are logged in, right? You can read everything here without actually being logged in to the discussion group; you just can't respond to it. (Being logged in to your eBay account does not get you logged in here as well; you have to do it here too.)
Look in the upper right corner of this page to see if your posting ID is actually showing there, or just a "Sign in" link.

You have to be logged in to start a new thread.

What board
are you trying on the member to member board ?
If so only if you apply and are accepted as a mentor are you allowed to answer there
on the discussion boards you can hit the reply unless a thread has been locked
On the knowledge based boards there you can click the Answer button or comment on a post
Can you tell use which board ?

Were you trying to reply in a thread that was locked? Can you give us a link to the thread you were wanting to respond to. That would give us a better idea of what the problem might be.

I see what you mean. Thanks for helping me understand!

Hi @cs497kcpope please tell us what board you're looking at and where you're seeing this issue.
As others have pointed out, maybe you weren't logged in.

I can't reply on Member to Member threads,

If you are talking about the Member to Member under the Knowledge Based tab, only Mentors can respond the various questions that other members have asked. You could post a question and then respond within that question, but you can't respond to other member's questions unless you are a Mentor.

Hi @trene-n-josh, @mam98031 is corrected regarding the Member to Member Support board: "Access to answering questions on this board is restricted to members who are part of our Community Mentors program. Community Mentors are members of The eBay Community who have been recognized for offering consistent, high-quality support to other Community members. Mentors can be self-nominated, nominated by other Community users or selected by the Community Team. "
To learn more about this program, please see this page.
