I have recently learned I cannot respond to a post more than once.
Where can I find this rule?
Hopefully I can find other rules I'm not aware of as well.

There's no such rule. What exactly do you mean by "I recently learned . . . ?"

Have you tried responding to your own post-- like this one?

I've never heard of such a rule.

There doesn't seem to be one since I'm responding to your post twice.

What happens if you try to respond to a post more than once?
I have noticed that lately if I paste a response into a reply field and get an html error, if I try to post again after the html has been stripped, I get an error that says I cannot post the same content within a certain amount of time. There are ways around that, though.

..............general reply...............
that rule has been around for a while and most posters abide by it.You can tell the posters who are abusing it,its not hard to notice the same question framed in saveral ways
I was ripped off in a return, what is ebay going to do
my seller ripped me off during the return
when a new poster comes in with a problem it can seem monumental and they want fast help.If they do not get any answers or traction with the post then they reframe it 30 minutes later and you can see it below the old posts

Yes, copy the text out to Note Pad, cancel the reply where you got the error, and then reply again pasting the text from Note Pad back in to the new post. That strips out the HTML.
