FYI devon@ebay kyle@ebay elizabeth@ebay

Since Monday notifications have been off. Some not appearing at all, others very delayed.

Re: Notifications

Notifications are on their usual lag.

Can see them in the hover, but bell is not lit up and they are not on the notifications page.

Happy for you @wastingtime101  but I'm still not receiving them - haven't had an email since July 1st. 🙁

Re: Notifications

Spoke too soon - looks like about a 5 minute delay but I'll take it!

Hey @wastingtime101! I did get confirmation late yesterday that Khoros was able to identify the issue, which was one that impacted all Khoros Communities, and was able to deploy a resolution. Please let me know if you or others are still experiencing the notification delays!

Thanks devon@ebay . Emails are coming through again (approx 5-10 min delay), but notifications are not fixed.

I can see hovering over the bell I have notifications from 9:21 am. But the bell is not lit up and those notifications don't appear when I go to the notification feed page. It's currently 10:01 am. Lag is typically worse in the mornings.

-----

Update: bell lit up at 10:06 am so that's a 45 min lag.

On top of that, the number of notifications was wrong. I never mentioned this before, but this behavior has been going on for a while, hopefully I can explain it clearly.

- When notifications come in, but the bell does not light up, those notifications will eventually catch up and the bell will show the correct number. Unless.....

- When notifications come in, but the bell does not light up, and the user clicks on their notification feed during the lag period, once notifications catch up the number on the bell does not include the notifications during the lag.

Example 1:

- During down time lag user does not click on notification feed.

- Eventually system catches up, and when bell lights up it recognizes all 10 new notifications.

Example 2:

- During down time lag there are 4 new notifications.

- User clicks on feed and doesn't see any of those 4 new notifications.

- 6 more notifications come in. User does not click on feed again.

- Eventually system catches up, but when bell lights up it only recognizes 6 new notifications, and when clicking on the feed only 6 are highlighted as new, even though there are really 10 new / unseen.

I hope that makes sense - let me know if you need me to explain more clearly.
