Not Able To Respond To Questions

Crud, so so many topics listed here that I can't reply to . Sorry for bringing this topic up so much.  But crud, I have answers, can't reply. Guessing 10 years here & not enough proper replies qualify for me to comment.  Kinda sad. Not the only eBayer with this issue. Do I just need to be patient for them to approve my comments?

You should be able to reply to every comment/thread EXCEPT:

1. Threads/posts on the Member-To-Member Support board. Those can be answered only by designated Community Mentors.
2. Threads that have been locked by moderators either because of their age or, occasionally at the request of the person who started the thread. You'll see a blue icon with a lock in the corner of the thread listing.
3. Threads that are in closed groups that a member must join in order to post in. Those are located in the general area of "Groups" from the links across the top of the page.

This was all explained to you in your thread on the Community Platform Feedback board last January.

Here's the Cliff Notes... look at the boldface type under the topic. If it says Member to Member, you can't comment.

You'll immediately know the 'locked' or 'short list' topics from the way they look.

See you at Buying, Selling, My Account... etc., etc., etc.!!!

I've had the same case of angst.  eBay member for nearly 20 years, and consider myself fairly literate and knowledgeable  about eBay.  However, I am not allowed to respond to questions.  Once in the last few years, I tried to apply for permission to do so, but was denied.  eBay, oh eBay, let me count the ways you make me feel part of the community.  Very frustrating and not very inclusive.

Have you read the requirements for participation in the Community Mentor program? Not to put too fine a point on it, but you don't qualify yet.

Who Qualifies?

Mentors are selected based on their eBay knowledge and their positive Community participation. To be considered, you’ll need to meet all of the following:

• Active eBay buyer or seller
• Post using your eBay trading ID
• Posted more than 500 times in the Community
• Active Community participant for more than 6 months
• Willingness to mentor others
