Most all you do a great job on general questions, and Yes we should all Thank you. Is it really all charity to the community with nothing in it for you, nothing at all? I believe in giving back too but Wow Hats Off..

40 hours a week at 75 years old?  OK, so I've got another fourteen years at twelve hour days, seven days a week....for too too long.   I guess I really will sleep when I'm dead.

I came in with a question about the incentive for dedication. Most all responded with their stories of giving back. As some of you know I bring some controversial topics. I have to say I'm humbled by what I read today.

It's possible the OP is not familiar with the Community Rankings, since there are at least one of each of the higher levels participating in this thread: superstar, visionary and legend.

There used to be a frequent flyer here whose ID was actually "Rock Star", but I think there were some numbers after the name.  And I think he chose that eBay ID before they actually had those categories for responders which included Rock Star.

They used to give out listing credits and ebay branded stuff. I still have my red beanie bear with ebay embroidered  across its chest sitting in the shelf above my desk.

Indeed I couldn't even imagine that commitment.... We mostly see Rockstars, they just seem to be more plentiful.

Here's my story (not unique, by any means):  On Mondays, I babysit a 3 year old great granddaughter.  Her mom teaches in the wintertime and tutors in the summer.  This is a child who you don't want to turn your back on.  My family room, where my desk top is, is also an illegal day care center.  So I sit where I have a 360 degree view of the room and post here while looking out of the corners of every eye in my head to make sure this sweetheart doesn't get into any trouble (with a Rhodesian ridgeback aiding and abetting).  Sometimes my daughter, who also babysits two grandsons, ages nearly 2 and nearly 4, will bring them to visit.  I remain in my swivel office chair, keeping one eye on the mayhem and the other, sometimes, on the Boards.

That's my story.
