Enough with the Simplify Your Sign-In !

Having to sign in every time I come back to the boards. And to make it even more annoying is every time I put in my password and click sign in I get the stupid stupid prompt to Simplify my Sign-In with no option to say NO forever.

It wants me to use a PIN (don't have one) or use face (monitor does not have a camera) or fingerprint (not sure how that works with this old monitor).

Apparently not, seems no one does their job these days...

Today I got the Simplify your sign-in thing too...my guess it's most likely 10 times more complicated.

I wish there were a "never ask" option as part of a drop down box. Very annoying to say no every time.

Hey, devon@ebay , the "stay logged in" checkbox on browser is not recognized as well. Not just affecting mobile. Just wanted to make that distinction. The annoying Windows Simplify Your Login is no longer happening to me, though. It just makes me log in repeatedly due to it ignoring the "stay logged in" check box option. Thanks.

The annoying Simplify Your Login is back. 

So now, it's not just the forced repeated login, but also the Simplify Your Login on desktop.

Even though I stay logged in, having to sign in each and every time I enter the community boards.  However, a new thing is happening in just the past week.   Can't sign in.  I click on the blue figure where your avatar should be.  This normally takes me to the sign in page.  Well, no sign in page, just keeps taking me to the 'welcome to the community boards' page.  No place there to sign in either.   Happened to me last night.  Somehow, I did manage to find a way to log in, but was asking or suggesting to change password and/or create a passkey.  I figure if things are already messed up, why increase the chances of making it worse to the point where I'm not recognized at all (or my device is not recognized.)  So, I just gave up.  Came back in this morning and everything working fine.  Didn't even need to sign in.  That doesn't mean carp, because by tomorrow, I will need to sign in again anyway.   This place has gone so far as to say it doesn't recognize me at all and warns that my account may have been compromised.  Asks if I were the one accessing my account.  Yes it is, it just doesn't recognize me.   Since Khoros came on board, it has been nothing but one problem after the other!.

One time it said that I didn't have internet, but the only reason that I realized that I had been logged out (not by me) was because I tried to give a thumbs up. I had read several posts already. Clicked the thumbs up, and it took me to the login screen. Tried logging in and it said I didn't have internet. Garbage. I think there's some troll code in virtually everything nowadays that's put there just to irritate people, and it feeds off of our irritations lol. If it was just one website or business, that would be different, but this is virtually everything, everywhere, and everyone is irritated by the stupid hoops and bad coding.

Alas!  I have thought the same thing....this is just to cause discomfort; irritation🙄.   Have even gone so far to think it is done to get us so annoyed with 'community' that we just give up & leave and then they can say there is not enough interest, so shut it down.   Who knows.  But, yeah, it does (the irritating stuff) happen in other places; what once was a helpful tool to make life easier has become a source of discomfort and a royal pain.

I've been having a dickens of a time even getting the log in screen to open and was at my wit's end when I discovered that if I clicked on any of the "selling announcements" from my seller hub, I could visit the rest of the community without needing to log into it separately! 😀

In today's world of hacks, scams, etc. I don't give any site any more info than necessary.  I can but do not even use it on my own computer. I don't auto save passwords either.  Hack my cell or computer and you won't find much.

Hey @wastingtime101! We meet with Khoros earlier this week about the mobile navigation and their senor team is working on the root cause of the issue and as of now we do not have an ETA for a resolution. Once we know more we will be sure to let yourself and others know.

The last couple of days I have not had to sign in each time.  Even after first starting my computer for the day I am able to click right in without the need to log in (enter user name and password). 

Maybe it is partially fixed.
