If you are able to sign in using another browser or a private or incognito browser window, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies in Firefox.

Okay. I can log in with a private window. Had not thought to try it. Will muck with the cookies after dinner.
Thanks

The problem disappeared before I removed any cookies.
Seems like it was probably an Ebay problem.

Cookies are supposed to be automatically overwritten when pages are updated; this does not always happen as it should, though.
In cases where a conflict causes problems, manually erasing the cookie in question can speed up the process by forcing the site to provide all new cookie data.
