We’ve gone through the feedback that was given and have compiled a list. Here’s where we stand:
Recently resolved issues:
1. Quote feature wasn’t originally quoting to the original poster but is now quoting the last poster
2. Preview post button is working as expected
3. When you click on ‘Helpful’ the text should stay ‘Helpful’ and not change to ‘Kudos’

These are being actively worked on now and as they go live we’ll share the news.
1. eBay Motors posts show in the activity feed. We’re releasing an update tonight that will fix this issue tomorrow
2. Add the username and timestamp of who posted last. This will be shown on the Community/Category activity and message list on the forum page.
3. Increase the text box for replies
4. Add the number of members on the Community boards to the banner on the homepage
5. Add system status link back into the Community
Need more time to assess:
The items below have been requested by members of this community, and the team is evaluating them for inclusion though not all may be feasible. We want nothing more than to bring a great experience to our Community members and will work hard to make that happen. This list is by no means ranked, but rather what we’re currently tracking.
1. Bring recently posted threads to the top of the board. Too hard to follow where you might have left off on the thread if you step away. Need to add clarity so it’s easier to follow posts in the a thread. Sorting, in general, needs improvement. New responses to posts should appear at the top of the boards and not just new boards
2. Part of the redesign was simplifying the eBay header. The eBay search bar, cart, sales bell, sell button and ‘My eBay’ was removed. Members want to still have a one-click way get to their personal ebay.com pages
3. Add the ability to quickly look at a Community Member’s profile without having to click into their profile. Give the ability to hover over the profile and see the member’s information.
4. Reduce scrolling on the pages by tightening up the real estate. Reduce the size of the banners or give the ability to hide them. Remove the preview under the post title but rather give the ability to hover over the post to see the first few sentences in order to see if the post is worth clicking into
5. Add thread titles to each post made in the thread.
6. Change the colors of the page so it’s easier to read and reduce white space. Font needs to be increased, titles need to be decreased and buttons are too big. Increase the size of the emojis. Add page numbers to the top of each post
7. Improve the notification feed so it’s easier to see which messages have not been read yet.
8. Remove, relocate or reduce the size of the ‘Share post’ button
9. Add the option to jump to the very last or very first post on the list.
10. If you check out a Community member’s profile, you’ll see a link under the other person’s profile information that goes to ‘My Settings’. We’ll look into moving this link so it’s not confusing.
11. Add the page numbers to the notification page and ‘My Replies’ list located on the profile page instead of clicking on ‘show more’
12. Add more pages that show when clicking ‘show more’
13. Add a preview over the notification bell so you can see a preview of the post without having to open the window to see them.
14. Give the ability to modify signatures so it isn’t automatically bolded.
15. Add the ‘Feedback profile’ and ‘view listing’ back to the Community pages
16. Investigate if ‘recent posts’ show all of the actual recent posts.
17. Add more posts to each page so posts get longer visibility
18. Add the eBay help link back to the top of the page
Issues that were not resolved with the update
1.HTML post flooding error that occurs when copying and pasting content into a post
Need more feedback from the Community - I’ll post separate posts this week to gather more feedback.
1. Currently the threads go from bold to not bold after you read them.
2. The links from the ‘new solutions’ don’t take you to that topic
3. Some members have reported seeing only 2-3 topics on each page when there should be at least ten.
These exist in the Community and we’ll post screenshots on where they are in the boards in a separate post.
1. Number of views per post are missing. It’s there but perhaps this Community member is referring to something else?
2. Include a search or an advanced search
3. Add a link for Buying related questions
4. Sorting by ‘latest post date’ doesn’t seem to work
5. Links to eBay for Business Facebook, Twitter and other useful support channels aren’t in the navigation but now are on the homepage on the Community, on the right rail.
6. The search results are not showing within the discussion search box
Please keep in mind that I haven’t had an opportunity to read every post where Community members have posted feedback about the new design. As I go through the Community, I’ll update this list and will post the status.
Hello Community!
Here’s the updated list on where we stand on some of the feedback that was collected from the Community.
Recently resolved:
1. eBay Motors posts were showing in the activity feed and we released an update to hide this
2. Email deliverability is fixed
3. Daily digest works now
4. Who responded last and the date/time of the last response
5. Moved notification bell so it’s visible on mobile
6. Removed the ‘share post’ button
7. We increased the text box for replies. You can also expand the reply box by clicking on the little arrow in the bottom right corner of the reply box
8. Virus scan is now enabled for files that are attached
9. We added the username and timestamp of who posted last
10. Feedback profile and View Listings under the user’s profile name, in the Community post
11. Added the system status board back to the homepage of the Community. Look for it under the Getting Started, Additional Resources section

1. When coming to a thread, picking up where you left off in that thread instead of searching through pages to find your place in the thread. In a nutshell, provide the ability to easily follow a thread.
2. My eBay link will live under the dropdown menu where your profile picture is, in the top right hand corner
3. If you check out a Community member’s profile, you’ll see a link under the other person’s profile information that goes to ‘My Settings’, but it actually goes to your settings. We’re looking into moving this link so it’s not confusing.
In our pipeline, TBD on the timeline
1. Community Help link will be relocated under your profile picture, in the top right hand corner. See screenshot above for reference.
2. ‘eBay help’ will replace the current ‘Community Help’ link. See screenshot above for reference.
3. Carousel/banner height will shrink

6. When selecting the ‘printer friendly page’ option it points back to the board and not the actual thread. Additionally, the page needs to be printer friendly. This issue is on the Q&A boards and M2M board.

Out of scope requests:
1. Removing the preview under the post title and giving the ability to hover over the post to see the first few sentences in order to see if the post is worth clicking into.
2. Give the ability to modify signatures so it isn’t automatically bolded.
3. Navigating the pagination. If there are 30 pages and you need to go to page 15, the arrow will need to be used to jump to the pages. The recommended workaround is to copy the link of the page if you know that you’ll need to go to page 15.
Some issues were not resolved with the update, so I’m going to invite some Community members to meet with the Khoros technical team so they can see these issues live since they’re having a hard time replicating some of these issues. If Khoros can’t replicate an issue, then they can’t fix it.

Here are the latest updates:
1. The Community Help and My eBay link is now located under your profile picture, in the top right hand corner
2. Quoting was added to mobile
3. We removed the default bold font for user's signatures. This issue was originally out of scope but we found a workaround
4. The time zones were off for the activity and message lists. Now they’re in sync.
Coming Soon:
A post will jump to the top of the list, according to the latest reply/activity and will not be sorted by latest post date.
New to our list to evaluate:
Switch the Post and Cancel buttons around so they are in alignment with the Cancel and Reply button that we have on replying to issues page

We’ve had some updates that pushed out early this morning.
Recently released updates:
- Most recent comments/posts will now float to the top of the list
- The subject line now appear at the top of each post
- We switched around the order of the ‘cancel’ and ‘post’ button on the Q&A pages
- A new response on a post now turns the post bold so you know that there was a new post made in the thread
Can’t do:
- When posting a reply, you’ll need to click inside of the box and not on the ‘post reply’ button. It’s there as a visual and not as a call to action.
- When hovering over the navigation and going to the sub navigation items, we looked into ways to keep the menu up while going to sub menus, but there was nothing more we could do. On my roadmap, I plan on simplifying the structure so there aren’t so many boards and it'll be easier to find the boards, so I might be able to implement less submenus.
