Why are you not allowed to comment on some Discussions?
I see a lot of Discussions that you are not allowed to reply to so I am wondering why?
Sometimes there may by a reply or no reply at all and the Discussion is locked out to replies.
I do not see anything like Solution Received, Discussion Closed.

The "Commonly Asked Questions" and "Community Mentor Corner" threads on the "Knowledge Base" board can't receive replies.
I'm sure there are a number of other boards that are set up that way.
While I haven't tested them all, I believe most of the boards under the "Discussions" heading--with a couple of exceptions--can receive replies.

If you are referring to the "Member to Member" group, only approved members may reply.

Perhaps they are just old and therefore "locked" check the date stamps,

Oh sometimes it's closed by the poster, moved to the proper forum or the Mods closed it because things got heated. Never question a Mods decision...its final.

I can understand it being closed by a Mod because things got heated.
That is not the case in the ones I am seeing. Many times it is just a simple request on how to do something.

@stephenmorgan could you share some examples of boards you're not able to reply to?

Well, I posted an example and it was taken down by a moderator for violating rule no. 8
There are several post right now that can not be replied to. Can I message you their links or that against the rules also?

I think this has all been explained to him. He didn't understand about the Member-to-Member board being restricted to Community Mentors.

Your example was deleted by a moderator because the screenshot you posted from the post on the M2M board included the member id of a seller the OP was accusing of a violation of eBay policy. The screenshot in the original M2M thread was removed for "naming and shaming" that seller, and your post was removed for the same reason.
It is a violation of the Rules of Engagement for the community to include any member's id when accusing them of policy violations, whether you're the one doing the accusing or posting a copy/paste of someone else doing it. Had you chosen to post a screenshot of an example that did not violate one of the Rules of Engagement, it would not have been removed.

Here are the Rules of Engagement.

Well the M2M board seems to get the most new users asking questions; as such as the name suggest this might be a way to contact eBay
It has a set of rules as to how long you been posting as some other things to get on it to be a member to respond.
Check here to read what it says.

You can always use the message feature to respond to their topic and situation if you are not a member.

Thank you. I received a Message from the Moderator that explained it.
