Can't Tag Another Poster

@#{login} <--- that's what happens when you try to tag someone. It's been going on for a while and now I see I'm not the only one having this problem.

@bigger.fish.to.fry

The first tag is what I got when I tried to tag the original poster, the second was an attempt at typing out the name manually.

Testing again doug@ebay

Nope... still not working. Above is an attempted tag to Doug.

Firefox browser for Mac.

Edit: when I posted it converted to the correct tag. I don't know what's going on but it's been acting weird for a while.

@#{login} what browser are you using parker sparrow, can you try to tag again? I selected your name from the drop-down, let's see if this tag goes through.

I'm using Firefox Quantum 62 on a Windows 10 machine.

As I type this, the tag above looks like "@#{login}", but gets translated into something that looks like the correct text once I post it.

My above post that tagged Doug did exactly what you described above. My above post that failed at tagging Parkersparrow shows @#{login} then it loses the hyperlink and turns to plain text before I even post.

More testing:

@#{login} The act of hitting the space bar after typing a tag deactivates the hyperlink.

@eburtonlab

The act of hitting the return bar does not deactivate the link. It still appears as @#{login} but it translates when posted.

So there's the work-around - don't press the spacebar after a tag @parkersparrow

And this is Chrome (ver 68) as well.

@eburtonlab

What happens if you hit the space bar after a tag - does it lose the hyperlink?

Thank you both for testing and confirming the same results. Now Doug has more info to bring to Lithium and figure out what's going on.

@#{login}
Same thing with chrome, space doesn't help

Start off by doing my @  and it brings up my list of users I click  Op's user ID & it changes to blue screen shot below.
When I click post it changes it to the black shown on line 1

Edit Sorry!!!! Still having coffee

Oh wait just read again you say don't use spacebar.
Let me try again
