It seems like there's still things that could/should be done....
1. I notice that the Popular discussion thingy on this board are "fairly" recent, while the same this over on the Soapbox is still suggesting discussions from 2015.
2. Way back when the board was fixed so emoticons could be put on the same line.
It was requested that that be allowed for ALL images. Apparently this "upgrade" automatically inserts a "carriage return" after every image. As it is, no matter what you do, adding your own smiley comes out like this:
Or even two images can not be displayed side by side for comparison.
3. For a lot of complaining that was done about things taking up too much space on the old version, there is a horrible amount of wasted white space .... This double spacing of type, the huge space between the edit notice at the top of the page, and so on.... (and I don't mean it should be filled up with adversiting)
(Edit!.. while prior to posting the above 2 images have absolutely NO space between them. After posting, almost an inch.)
And I'm sure there are more...
doug@ebay please copy.....
Thanks for listening.

Hi @sheba*, it's been a bit! Always love your feedback and hearing from you, hope you're doing well. Also, thanks @Anonymous for helping get this my way.
We'll always have projects going, so I don't think we'll ever be done, overall.
The latest discussion feed pulls literally from latest discussions and displays them, or discussions with new posts. This board is fairly active with new discussions, so you'll see a lot of recent stuff. It doesn't have the large volume history of Soapbox. There are a lot of posts in there, and discussions showing from 2015 means that there have been new posts to those older discussions.
We are working on an archiving plan that will do a lot to clean up older posts so they aren't showing as often and causing confusion.
I selected both of these images together to upload, and they come out side by side. (I wish I still had the kitty images I experimented with a bit back).
For this set, I uploaded the first, left the cursor to the right of the image and then uploaded the other.
So, the image will go where the cursor is, so you should be able to do side by side images.
The extra white space is actually by design. We wanted a much more open and cleaner look, and it's also adherent to eBay brand guidelines, more open white space, more vibrant colors, larger images. We'll continue to be more brand compliant as well.
Hope this helps!

Here's how they look to me:
This is a tough one. I am on Chrome desktop.
Looks like you are Internet Explorer, desktop. Is it an older version?

Hi doug@ebay I tried it in Chrome, and I do get the side by side view.
I currently use Firefox, and the most up to date version.
Does this mean in order to get the side by side I'll have to switch to Chrome, which I don't care for??
Oh I hope not... I would think there are a lot of Firefox users out there....

PS on the other issues.... doug@ebay please note that in the first Popular Board discussion on Soapbox, the last post was:

Hi @sheba*, Chrome is the most used browser right now, but I tested and you can do side by side images via Firefox. I used to be a Firefox user but switched to Chrome for Google Integration.
Both at once in Firefox, then placed cursor to right of second image and backspaced...
Uploaded seperately, uloaded one, left cursor to right of image and then uploaded second.

@sheba*, we have seen complaints about the whitespace, but that's going to be a permanent part of the Community as it ties into responsive mobile friendly design, and it's consistent with eBay brand guidelines.
Definitely keep the feedback coming though!
Posting this from FireFox, BTW, just for you!

Well, we've been able to determine that Firefox and Chrome can do side by side images in Lithium. It must be some browser setting, or monitor setting.
This is what you should see:

Hi doug@ebay Thank you so much for your patience and help. I've tried everything to get side by side in Firefox. I can't find any kind of settings that affect this view.... So, I guess unless it's something that is "necessary" for a side by side I'lll just have to muddle along...
But, you are a sweetheart for trying so hard!!!!

Awwww, thanks @sheba*, I really appreciate it.
