Lesson learned here DONT USE A THIRD PARTY HOST!! apparently ebay does not want to support them they blame each other etc etc. you suffer after with having all your content there.

Your conclusion......don't use a 3rd party host.......is too general..........plenty of them work fine. Activa has had problems for various things over the years......

One thing.........have you tried using different browser?

yes i tried all my browsers and my neighbors computer nothing works.  they work fine until they dont . ebay and the host blame each other going on a month now.  when you call ebay customer service has no clue what is going on, they say it is an engineer tech issue and doesnt even exist they cant help you. it is hard to switch back to archaic ebay after.  your content is inaccessible if you dont keep paying them.

If you do not know whether the problem is with Auctiva or eBay, why is it "apparent" that eBay does not "want to support them"?

either way it doesnt work. auctiva denies they have a problem then. if that is the case ebay should block them.

Seems eBay won't help, and I gotta pay you guys even though my listings are messed up? Frustrating

can you fix this or at least pause my billing until it's sorted? Not cool paying when things aren't working.

Re: using third party host.... Auctiva.......ebay wont support or fix issues.....Auctiva still wants

I use a third party listing tool, too.  I relisted 11 auctions this morning changing them to BIN.  The first 7 listed fine and then the last four wouldn't list.  I got the message to the effect that I hadn't entered the weight of the package (sorry, I didn't save the exact message).

I went back and checked and I had entered the weight, it was the exact way I originally listed it as an auction and the way I always list.  Tried again with no success so I had to use ebay relisting tool.  It is possible it is just on relisting, I haven't tried any new listings this morning.

I hope this is just a glitch and will be fixed.  The thought of using ebay's listing form strikes terror in my heart 😂

I certainly empathize with you, but the "platform" (in this case, ebay) has no responsibility to make sure third party "add-ons" work with their system (unless, of course, they are a subsidiary of the platform). Personally, I too utilize some 3rd party programs/software to make my life a little easier (not just on ebay). When the main program changes something, the affiliated software has to make the adjustments to guarantee their add-on continues to function as advertised. There have been many times when a couple hours turns into a couple days to get the updates right for some add-ons. The most notorious are 3rd party add-ons for Mozilla (for example). They make an improvement, and the add-on doesn't work until the developers fix it due to a change in the original platform.

yes bulk relister.  i know the feeling. im using ebay listings pages and it is like i stepped back in time 20 years. be careful, when you list on ebay directly the data doesnt transfer back to the 3rd party host and everything becomes a mess, that is what im going through.  i told auctiva if its not going to work, one has to go, so guess who.  ebay has issues and their lister page and listing management pages suck. like side to side scroll bars across the values? really? stack the values **bleep**. i feel like im in 2003.  i also noticed when listing directly on ebay im not getting my notification emails. i was on the phone with them as i was listing and they say they were sent. they better rehire some of the people they just layed off.  i am coming off of my best 3 months ever and now im trying to cut my store of almost 2000 items in half due to this. ebay has issues.

i get this but it has been almost a month. they blame each other. this is 2024 if this is what the future looks like im out of 3rd party hosting. ebay should give them the axe too.

That makes no sense.

eBay publishes an API so that other software packages can interact with eBay listings.

It is not eBay's job to monitor the quality of countless other companies and make value judgements about whether there is a "problem" or not.

Re: using third party host.... Auctiva.......ebay wont support or fix issues.....Auctiva still wants

I remember "Auctiva" when it first came out and I started using. And not any more.

Solutions...I bought a Cannon camera...then my computer died...so I was using my iPhone to upload photos until I bought a new computer. Auctiva is very outdated and I suggest maybe buying a second hand camera which will work better than "Auctiva". Or if you have an iPhone that will work.

I used to use it. You can download lots of photos...lots of photos...and transfer them to eBay.

I found the site to be old fashion.
