After the first couple of times, really have no issues with it. Small message box is no different than sending messages on Facebook. But I am on desktop, so my experience might be different.

 Humph - I'm not on facesuck either, but it doesn't surprise me that the smartphone style messaging is used there - probably originated there.

I have a problem with the unnecessary additional windows and clicks forced upon me. But I actually need to work and this forced upon me waste of time is quite bothersome. The old message system was FAR superior to the piece of crap we are now forced to use.

What  is annoying me is that it tells me I have 72 Messages, because it counts answered messages and archived/filed messages as if they are live.

I liked the old message system better but I can live with the new system.  For me, it's less annoying than some of the other "improvements" eBay has made.  I HATE how they changed the photo enhancing system.

LIke I said before, as much as I hate this stupid and crippled smartphone-esque message system, I'd be happy if eBay would just fix their broken search. Many times I have to search with Google to find what I'm looking for - Amazon is even worse.

Are you listening?!  I'm guessing the obvious absence of your moderators is because they too agree the old message system was FAR SUPERIOR to the chat style system you forced upon us. We should be able to separate Sent messages from Incoming. And to echo what others have pointed out... you basically eliminated the Search feature!

WAKE UP and rollback to the CLASSIC VIEW!!  NOW!!

And while you're at it... Turn off the prompt for Windows Hello! I don't have a camera or a fingerprint feature on my desktop! And as far as the PIN, I don't need it since I use your 2-point authentication.

I haven't seen anything asking me about a camera or fingerprint reader myself. But it sounds like yet more smartphone nonsense - PINs are horribly insecure. But its pretty obvious that eBay doesn't care - they don't care if this type of baloney drives users away - its a classic scenario I've seen over and over.

I agree! I prefer the old messaging system.  Here is what I emailed Ebay:

I WANT TO EDIT THE FOLDERS TO RENAME THEM (CURRENTLY WILL NOT LET ME)
I WANT TO DELETE A FOLDER (CURRENTLY WILL NOT LET ME)
I WANT THE ABILITY TO HAVE UP TO 10 FOLDERS - I CURRENTLY HAVE 9
I WANT TO ADD NEW FOLDERS IF I DELETE EXTRA ONES

Sorry about the all-caps!  I did speak with a representative who agreed with me (she is also a seller).  She said that there is no glitch in the system. This is the new and improved system.  Well, anyway, Happy New Year!

Ebay at it's finest - Almost all of their site changes sadly make things much worse on the site and they just continue to make these awful decisions and changes.
