not really sure what to do to stop this. People keep bidding over the average sell price of the xbox and then they obviously win the auction and then dont pay. 7 day auction and then I have to wait multiple days to cancel it for non payment. These people usually have zero feedback.

At least they are not scamming you out of the item. Electronics are one of the scammers favorite targets. You can always try using second chance offer it's possible the next highest bidder with purchase. Make sure you add each of the non-payers to your BBL. You also have this item listed as no returns. Make sure you understand the MBG and know that does not translate to no refunds. You seem to know the average selling price you could do as soh.maryl suggested and use BIN/IPR.
Personally this is not an item I would list on eBay due to its targetability. You are in basically a suburb of Chicago you may have a large local market and could use a local forum to sell the item. Eliminates your fees and any concerns over shipping issues. It also probably cuts down on the scamming possibility although there are scammers on CL and FB as well. Simply sell it for cash.

Multiple days = 96 hours. Cancel, citing buyer did not pay as your reason.
When you relist, Buy It Now, Immediate Payment Required.

Do as @soh.maryl states above.
Scrap the auction route. Set a price and do Buy It Now with Immeadiate Payment Required.
If you allow offers, you may run into the same problems.

Since you know what the average selling price of this item should be, there is no reason to use auction format. If you set up a fixed price listing, you can require immediate payment and completely avoid all of these sport bidders.

if there is one thing Ebay should be doing for sellers is to protect us from deadbeat bidders.
But these aren't "real" auctions. If they were I'd need an auctioneers license in every state I sell in.

Ditch the auction and list as a fixed price with immediate payment required.
No more waiting to be paid and it stays active until it's paid for.

@deltilogical Actually, they are. Requiring 'pre payment' info, BEFORE bidding (sellers can 'opt in/opt out' of this as well). Not sure if it's still in 'test' mode or?? but there have been LOTS of complaining about it in these vary halls.

There is no reason in the world to use auction format on an item that sells multiple times per day on the website. Just make it buy it now and most of your problems go away.
However I would still try to unload it on Facebook Marketplace first, since you do live in a major metro.

In Illinois they consider ebay auctions to be real, licensing requirements are exactly the same for a ebay auction as any other auction.
