Think I would rather fix them all myself without dishing out my password to anybody-enough risks with that kind of stuff already. These third party websites are not held responsible either if they make a mistake. Not too good to use--do it yourself. You can go to the bulk listing tool in the seller hub to do it from what I gather if you need to.

So if I do not use photobucket or any other kind of HTML in the description box of my listings I should be fine and buyers will not see a warning on chrome?

HTML is not an issue.  Links are an issue.  If your descriptions are just basic text with no outside links added you should be fine.  Run a listing or 2 through the tester, see what it shows you.

No links or any of that, good to know in any case.

Again - why would they need your ebay PASSWORD?

so that only you can mess with your listings

Good news is I went over to Moonbeams house on eclipse day to see her leave in the mothership. She barked a little bit,but nothing happened and Minibeam will be going back to school on Thursday...

I thought maybe it was a reference to coneheads! They weren't around back in the 60's I don't think...also thought it was a Mad max reference. I googled it and came up with you talking about the thunderdome LOL seems it's a bubbleman original.

I have a sister in Ft. Collins CO and they have a huge flat earth society, I'm still trying to figure out how they explain it all away. Glad to hear your friend didn't get picked up by the mothership! Cheap and free entertainment is hard to come by unless you live in Roswell.

I don't know what that means, but it sounds bad, so probably yes!

@ersatz_sobriquet, lol!  Not fair, now I need a new keyboard!!!   hahahaha

@rainbowcolorz

When bubbleman throws out one of his double-takes I always feel like a deer in headlights for a minute. Glad to help you get a new keyboard!

Coneheads - Saturday Night Live - Didn't start until about 1975.  If you get a chance, see if they have the Hippy Dippy Weatherman - especially the 'high coming up from Mexico'.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

It's the listing info- same as with Auctiva or other 3rd party listing/hosting sites..

It's safe, you just log into ebay and they port your listings into that ImaDope checking program.

It then finds that your eBay THUMBNAILS uploaded directly to eBay are incompatible and the Auctiva gallery that swears it's compatible also is outside compliance.. Smiley Sad

@sandyoutlet   Still waiting for a reply about Auctiva!

Are they lying and I need to remove their stuff? Or is this something eBay needs to fix?  Thanks.

Log In Info-  It's exactly the same as using Auctiva or any other third party listing host etc..

YOU use the info to log into eBay- you aren't giving them anything..

That said @  I am getting dinged for eBay photos and that dang Auctiva Gallery.

I go to Auctiva and they say they ARE compliant. They fixed their HTML compliance or so they claim.

So are they and this needs fixed by eBay Tech, I-ways or whomever?

OR

They are NOT and it needs to be removed.

Please update with what's going on there.. Thanks

@sandyoutlet

From my understanding, Auctiva will be fully compliant in September. They should also have bulk edit functionality which will allow you to change your instances of "http" in your listings to "https". Even if a domain is compliant, you still need to make sure your listings are updated with the proper "https" resources.

eBay will ensure gallery images are https before Google's deadline. Thanks!

LOL!

Or you could just hit the HTML tab in the listing editor and see if any links in there say http instead of https.

I only have two links, both links created by eBay's listing editor tool, that lead to other eBay pages.  Naturally they're both http.  I'll add an "s", once I confirm eBay is using https for those pages already - many of their pages including the Community aren't yet compliant.

After reading everything I decided to try the tool to check my listings.  Didn't like it but did it anyways.

All I am getting is We're creating your report for 10 minutes.

Then I decided to try it with just checking the item number, once again for the last 10 minutes IT IS NOT WORKING.  It just states We're creating your report.

Now what.

Why do I think they will take their time on those?

Sorry that you're experiencing this delay. There is a lot of volume hitting the tool right now so it's causing a slow down. We're working on it as we speak and should have a resolution soon. Thanks!
