Did you mean:

should you list items at really high prices and put them on sale to normal prices

I called eBay one day and told the guy that answered my call, I wasnt selling much in my store for 2 months, it actulay felt like I wasnt even online at that time on eBay. although I was being billed.  shortly after that I sold my first item in 2 months. {weird} anyhow he looked in my store and suggested that I raise my prices signifently then put every thing on a 75 to 90% sale I did try it with a few items but nothing really sold like that. so my question is, is it better to just list at good prices or super high prices with sales and discounts and promotions?

You've got great pictures  and good descriptions. Clothing is oversaturated - so check solds for similar items and try to list yours at a midpoint.

Change your font to 12 for the mobile buyers. Raise your prices a bit and then run a 7-10% markdown to see if it spurs sales as it should increase your visibility.

Anymore, it's all about the *cheap* on eBay.....So it's not necessary to play those pricing games. Buyers don't want to feel they are getting a cheap deal....They want to know it. That net price is the bottom line. They don't care to know how it got there.

While I've seen sellers who use this practice, and it is their right, I don't know, as a buyer, that I would find that effective.

Over priced is over priced.  When reduced to normal levels, that may generate a sale but what about the time lost while listed at an over priced level?  You could argue that case that someone could come along and really want whatever it is and so buy it at the inflated price, but I don't know that that chances of that are huge.  But maybe they think they will just get lucky.

But then what happens if eBay shows them the same item, vastly cheaper?

Possibly an over inflated price may make you look clueless.

Just some thoughts.

So

I'm sorry to inform all of you that a sale on Ebay has limited to no effect on sales...    I've tried sales for last 3 months and I get the same average amount per day, Sale or No sale..       This big shocker to me is when I raised items by 25%  then discounted them to 50 %    I had a 20% sales increase with 25% higher prices and received no questions from buyers,  When  I put  Items on sale , I am slammed with questions and they want  it even cheaper.

The people with questions only have a 1%  buy through rate  . Looks like answering buyers questions is a total waste of time.  It seems they are just looking for someone to talk to LOL
