Try starting a discussion in an active/live area. I'll post the link one more time. If you can't figure it out after my three posts on the explanation and the instructions, I give up.

Hey man... Let me walk you through exactly how this plays out, from my side, just so you can follow.

1.) From the eBay community homepage, I click "Start a new Discussion".

2.) Then I am on a page that says "New Message" to create a new post.

3.) I have the option to type in a subject.

4.) I have the option to select a board location. I click one. Any of them.

!BOOM!

As soon as I click any of the board locations, I get that red pop up. Only then does it show "Archived location" etc. 

...You see, I'm not trying to post in an archived location. Why the heck would I even want to do that? 😂 You think just maybe it might be bugs on eBay's lackluster community pages? If they are anything like eBay's customer support, in any capacity, I can imagine the support on these pages isn't top of the line. (I mean, we are talking about a company that thought it was a good idea to sell of PayPal here.) So we're clearly dealing with some Ivy League scholars here.

Dude, I don't know what the problem is with that feature, but stop trying to create a new discussion from the Community Home page. You're the only person I've ever run into who has tried to start a discussion from the Home page. Go directly to the board you're interested in posting a new topic and start the discussion from there. 

I've already given you the link for the Selling board. Try posting from there by clicking on the blue "Start a Discussion" button--or go to whichever board and post directly from that board.

Unless you're just intentionally trying to be difficult.

I sent $50 dollars to my daughter last week.  Now I can't figure out how it was done.  So coming to this thread, i see it has been hijacked to a different topic.  someone can't figure out something about archived board location something something.  I just wanna send some money to my daughter.

You can't send money through eBay you can do it through PAYPAL!
