If I cancel and relist an order due to a buyer not paying, does ebay notify all the previous watchers and bidders of the item? That seems like it would be a very nice feature to have. I started an auction for .99, someone won with a bid of about $40. He didn't pay, so I cancelled the order and relisted the item for .99 again. Now someone might pick it up for a few dollars because the previous watchers and bidders are probably not aware that it has been relisted.

I run about 2000 auctions a year at $1 start
65 % of the time its going to sell for less second time around, thats the way it is
when you relist an auction its no longer a fresh item and does not go to the top of the page
i used to relist many unsold items or items that were not paid for and they dont go up to the top of the page
if you click on newly listed its no going to be there
it will be down the page with the old start date
its the same way with returns
if you want to make it look like a new auction then you should do sell similar

I have never been notified about an item being relisted, although I can see the button that says, "View relisted item" on my Watch list. IIRC there is a notification option where bidders/buyers can opt-in to get a notification when an item is relisted.

Thank you so much. I ended up relisting the item and I guess it was beginner's luck. There's about 23 hours left on the auction and it's going for slightly more than it did the first time. And for everyone else who took the time to reply, thank you and be careful if you're traveling in this mess of a storm like I am this weekend. Merry Christmas!
