sending a PDF file thru ebay.

Is it possible to send a PDF file thru messages?  My inventory list for a collection I am selling is in a PDF file and I cannot attach it thru pictures.  Is there any way to send it to a potential buyer?

Thanks

Pipeye

Re: sending a PDF file thru ebay.

You are listing for sale an "inventory list" of the items you have for sale in another listing?

Take a picture of the pages close up.

There are apps such as camscanner that will convert pdf into nice jpegs.

I don't think you can upload pdfs on eBay.

Maybe this'll be of use to you:

Be very caresful in what you are doing, as it will look to eBay as though you are setting up an off-eBay sale.

It would be no different than uploading photos if you are thinking about the bots. And any human would clearly see that it had nothing to do with going offsite.

Re: sending a PDF file thru ebay.

The OP has a large lot of items. Those items are compiled on a list. The OP would like to be able to share that file.

The OP seems to have resolved his problem by listing separately for a buck plus shipping a list of the items included in his 10K listing

Re: sending a PDF file thru ebay.

Yes but unless they physically send the list, then will run into electronical/digitally deliver goods rules. Unless they have another account, I don't see any of the items shown in the photos in that listing for the list currently listed under this account.

Sorry but all the wordage about updating by adding/subtracting from the list of items that have been sold or added, does not sound real promising. Kinda sounds like a logistical nightmare.

When this question was first posted a while back, the wording of it came across that the OP was trying to add a PDF of items to their listing, an eBay person even gave instruction on how to add it to the listing.

The best way may be to break the collection up into groups and list that way or find a different venue to dispose of it all as a group, such as an auction house.

@pipeye

You don't have to sell a list of items included in the lot you have for sale.

Include everything in the listing description that is in that lot.

Have a great day.

Re: sending a PDF file thru ebay.

It looks like there are many, many, many items in that lot and the OP prefers to just sell the list.

He also states that the list may not be correct as some items on the list may already have been sold separately.  I believe there is a word for this.

No, the OP is now "sharing" the list by selling it for a buck.

Do you not get the feeling that the OP is trying to avoid a tedious task?
