Avoid listing branded items on eBay. If you want to list them, you need to get permission from the original supplier of those items. Listing those products without permission is a violation of eBay rules .So refrain from selling branded products without permission. Have your say

You're wrong for a number of reasons..........You are from Sri Lanka and your id indicates you've sold nothing, at least on this account....
Are you trying to understand how/what to list?..........if you buy a branded item, it certainly is ok to sell it as used.........

What do you base your advice on?

Don't confuse branded items with Vero items. That's a whole different can of worms.

The Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) program allows owners of intellectual property (IP) rights and their authorized representatives to report eBay listings that may infringe on those rights.
http://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/listing/create-effective-listings/vero-program.html#m17-1-tb2
More than 99% percent of brands are okay to sell.
Using the words "fits" and "compatable" are helpful sometimes.
Some brands very likely to have a VeRO issue are Velcro, Barbie, Lego, Apple, etc.
Kindly add other ones you know about.

It's off the southern coast of India. Once upon a time Ceylon, with a culture that dates back over 3000 years with a high per capita income and trading status.

You are confusing eBay with Amazon. With Amazon, sellers need to have invoices from legit suppliers or manufacturers should Amazon come calling for invoices.
