selling during this weird time...

I have been listing my old comic books and some other items over the last year and it has all gone pretty smoothly as I learn the ropes as far as selling on ebay (i've certainly bought my fair share...). There have been a couple of somewhat minor issues to come up regarding returns but nothing too bad.

It seems that now more than ever it is risky to sell due to the stance ebay takes with buyers always being "right" and now that customer service isn't really an option i am wondering if it is a good idea to continue right now.

any thoughts? thanks...

It's not any more risky today than it was a year ago.

Just keep going - the 'risk' is not only minor (successful transactions far, far outweigh the problems, it's just that everyone talks about the problems because, well, they're problems), and some categories are a bit risky (cell phones and the like), but people will probably enjoy some good reading matter right now.

Re: selling during this weird time...

I shut my  items I had for sale , I never really excepted returns , my items would not break , but if there was a Damage due to shipping I would just send a replacement .

Concern would be sellers with items returned , especially for NY .

I disagree. The World Health Organization confirms that it's safe to receive packages from affected areas.

The bigger concern would be that your mail carrier was affected. If you are receiving mail every day and taking precautions when retrieving it and opening it then getting a return from an affected area wouldn't be any different than that.

Yes. Basically open your mail (envelopes, package coverings), wash your hands thoroughly, then go through the contents.  It's like anything else one would handle 'out in the wild'.
