Umm, Amazon has many of the same rules.

Sorry about your experience here.

Sadly, after 9 years of frequent buying here, I also had a very bad experience with a bad high volume seller and eBay did not handle it properly (and the seller is still here).  That's one of the reasons I stopped buying here.

I'm still hoping that a new Leadership Team will come in and make positive changes, to improve the buying (and selling) experience at eBay.

Yes, it is hard to offer sympathy or understanding if you don't even know what happened.  The possibilities are endless and not always Ebay's fault.

My bad Customer Experience is well documented here.

Not sure what happened to the OP, but the narrative of the post is trending more and more ... and eBay needs to reverse this trend soon.

These types of posts have flooded the boards since they began...really nothing new.

There must have been a miscommunication here.  I never addressed what you said above.

It is what the boards are for.  Which is why we see these posts from time to time.  No way to know what has caused the OP such concern.  But hopefully they will come back and tell us and maybe we can offer some insight or help to what is happening for them.

Yes, I'm very familiar with eBay, as I lived nearby their San Jose Headquarters and watched it being built.  I've been an eBay member since 2010 and a very frequent Buyer and limited Seller (to help a family member due to a health issue).

Whatever flooded the Boards over the years, I wasn't reading, as I was happily buying for many years until 2019.

2019 is very different year, and the year I joined Community Boards.  It's also the year that eBay has been flooded by Technical Issues, Glitches and Customer Concerns.

Hopefully the New Leadership Team will step-up to make eBay better.

Judging by past FB left... ebay isn't for every one.

Since your are relatively new to the boards I can tell you it has always been here for complaints. Rarely does someone come here that has no complaints. The boards consist of  a fraction of 1% of the Ebay population.

Actually less than 1% as we have about 6.7 US sellers and I don't know how many of the reported 180 million active buyers are US based.  Then there are those international members that come to the US site as well.  At this moment there are just under 7,000 members logged into the threads.  That certainly doesn't mean they are all posting, but they are hear reading and surfing or whatever it is they are doing if not posting.

I'm sure there have always been many complaints here from day one, but what I was saying is that I was happily buying and had no need to come here ... until 2019 when eBay changed so much in a negative way, that I didn't want to buy anymore (or sell, which I was hoping to do).

The Boards consist of a good cross-section of the eBay population (Great Sellers & Buyers, Good Sellers & Buyers, Average Sellers and Buyers, etc.).
