Hey all... been MIA for almost a month on the boards mainly because I have a new kid. Still been working/selling behind the shadows from home... only to come back to a slew of business issues (MP, inventory, USPS delays, etc.) So it's bittersweet that I'm back (although not entirely back). Glad I have a bit of time to check the boards though.
Anyway, so anyone have tips to reply to this buyer (mentioned in the title)? Buyer claims INR (no INR filed yet)... classic tracking shows delivered. I use my usual "check with neighbors, local PO, etc" reply. Buyer replies with that gem shown above. Contemplating BBLing this guy but I haven't replied to him yet.

"You are obligated to ensure I receive the item, not just dropped off on my property"
Obligated to whom, by whom?

Sounds like this buyer also spends time filing INR cases on Amazon.

Congrats on your addition. She will be a joy! My kids pediatrician said that there was a time between 5 and 7 when they are fun to have around. I think he was right but it is hard to remember 50+ years ago.
On your a$$ buyer. I had one a short time ago who also filed an INR. I won the INR then called my PO here in GA and got the GPS in MA where it was delivered. Emailed her the GPS and address. Now she and her $15 item are united. Going above and beyond!

The ebay department of "buyer happiness"?

Sounds to me like the buyer is 'fishing' to get their money back and keep the item.

what do they expect? you to drive to their house and hand it to them?
carrier tracking shows delivery to their address... you fulfilled your obligation...
ignore and BBL...

Advise and repeat what you already said, PO, Neighbors,Family etc, I most certainly would not contact any PO on their behalf, you have delivery confirmation, you are not the one claiming not delivered they are, whereas others state contacting the PO is above and beyond, I think it states self doubt it was delivered and that you actually believe the buyer.
Never question delivered tracking, that's what it's there for, if indeed there is a problem it's up to them to solve it, it's their mail not yours.

It is the buyers responsibility to have a safe place for delivery.
BBL & ignore.

Sounds to me like it was delivered, just not where they wanted it. Maybe it was left on a porch. You can't but it would be tempting to tell them where to put that package. Congrats on the little one. Daughters are amazing...until they are teens and then you are SO stupid!

Tagging on. I have to say, This constant hand holding these buyers are needing has gotten to be the absolute worst thing about selling on ebay.
All of these long explanations, advice, apologies, recommended that the seller offer this buyer really makes me sort of want to bang my head on my lap top.
"Dear buyer, I see that according to the USPS tracking that your item was delivered as promised. Thank you and have a nice day"
I would refuse to get into a back and forth with this person.

Preach brother.
Whatever it is I can do, they can do better and easier themselves.
I have a cut and paste ready for that scenario that I send out. It is actually quite helpful should the buyer wish to take expert advice...but if I get some passive aggressive or regular aggressive non-sense in return...that's the end of my help.
Best Buddies List and smell you later.

How about "I have no control over delivery issues with USPS. I shipped your parcel as obligated by eBay. If you are having problems with your mail carrier, I suggest you contact your local postmaster to address these issues."
I'm not 100% sure I'd say that though... I might be afraid of a neg that's beyond my control. However when the neg mentioned mail delivery issues, it got removed.
That's my best suggestion.

Tell him to file a police report.
