Re: payment problem

Did you check this page to see if there are payment transactions?

https://www.ebay.com/mes/transactionlist?sh=true

What does the order details page show?

Re: payment problem

I did. They charged me the fees but but the page shows no payment on either. And of course I cannot contact Ebay. I started a chat with Ebay but they quit responding without fixing the problem.

Re: payment problem

Go into your "inbox of emails"....yahoo or gmail or whatever...If you see no payment received for "Your item has been paid"...it hasn't been paid...address of buyer will show up as well. No need to check in eBay web site.

This seems like the opposite of what to do to see if you were actually paid.  I always thought personal emails were where fake payment notices arrive.

Re: payment problem

I have two different email addresses.

One for garbage emails and one for business emails.

And actually this helps me in International Addresses which are a little different than on the eBay site.

Especially the zip codes that have letters after the numbers and then those addresses which are so long it cuts the address going into the next line.

Addresses of Indonesia are so long... I get a better accurate address using both forms.

Never had anything lost last year and now...USPS.

I do confirm the eBay site as well as my inbox of emails.

I was just trying to get the seller another form to confirm if it indeed got sold.

You were definitely charged final value fees @jffm93 ? I ask because ad fees (for promoted listings) are charged instantly (I think, haven't checked in a while) but final value fees are not supposed to be charged until the item is paid for.

What type of fees were charged?

Also, what does the order details page show?

Have you tried marking the sale 'unpaid'? I believe that's only an option if it was manually marked 'paid' to begin with, but since you said there's no payment but it shows it's been paid for, it's worth trying.

Difficult to advise when we can't see your account details.

Re: payment problem

The buyers want to pay but cannot because they are marked as paid. Ebay even charged me the fees for them.

@jffm93

This certainly is a peculiar issue.

Typically, buyers cannot pay because they were "auto-billed" and charged when the auction ended.  It was a function of the two Buyer Payment Requirements that eBay placed on your account that required a buyer to provide a payment source in order to bid or make an offer.  You retained those buyer requirements, even though eBay recently removed the one from everybody's account that said "require a buyer to submit a payment source  in order to bid."  Nobody knows why, and eBay, true to form. is not talking.

It is possible that since you once had the requirement, it is still in effect,  or a buyer that was previously required to provide a payment source is being auto-billed without having to fill out the typical form again. This, of course, is only conjecture at this point.  Another buyer in the last day or so reported being auto-billed as well, but I didn't think too much about it, but will go look and see if the poster ever replied.  It is also possible we are seeing the start of another new "enhancement, intended change, test, improvement that looks like a glitch."  It is getting almost impossible to tell in many instances.

At the same time, eBay does not charge you fees until you are paid, and they have the money from which to take their cut.  So, the additional confusion may be the result of  a delay in the different systems involved catching up with the actual process.

Do come back if you find out differently.
