Mental illness is a widespread problem in the USA.

Sellers like the person you reference are, fortunately, not the norm.

Nor does their insanity have any impact on my ability to sell here successfully.

But thanks for the tip... that seller is on my best buddies list.

Interesting.  He said the part out load that I usually just keep to myself 😂

He is right about sellers who leave negative over a simple problem instead of just sending a message.

most people will leave ebay immediately if they see sellers saying this to buyers. so yes they most certainly do effect your ability to sell. youre free to feel differently if you like.

also, this seller has been doing this to buyers on ebay for TWENTY FIVE YEARS.
the seller has literally been using cuss words to abuse buyers for one quarter of a century. thousands have seen this activity and im sure a few have left to buy on other platforms where they feel safer. you can feel differently about this if you like but im very confident that i might be right.

this person has been doing this for one quarter of a century and i think thats unacceptable by a long mile

The people I sell to do not purchase decals or stickers, like those sold by the seller you reference, extolling AR-15s or Jessica Rabbit Pinup Girl.

I've been selling for 25 years and am pretty sure that the insanity of other sellers, who sell items in a completely different category than I do, has not made any discernible impact on my own sales.

My buyers inhabit a completely different universe.

If I were a competitor of the seller above, I'd be thrilled that he was digging himself a deep hole.  regards

10% of the seller's shipments gets lost every month? I have used the USPS for decades. I have had one lost item in the mail. $850. That hurt. Freight forwarder issue. I had another item, non eBay sale that got lost. That  is all I have lost in almost thirty years of using the USPS.

If the USPS is losing almost 200 shipments every month, the seller either needs to find a different shipping service or take a hard look at what they are doing to cause 10% of their shipped items to go missing.

the seller is kinda right. at this point i am in the same mood as him when dealing with customers. i have had nothing but negative experiences these last 2 months and am on the verge of rage quitting due to customers incompetence as well as ebays.

Yeah, people are incompetent, and we are selling to the general public.

And you are selling parts, which by definition means buyers' incompetence will increase by orders of magnitude.

But while you may be in the same mood, your replies to negative feedback is professional and shows other buyers that you are willing to work with them.    regards

What do you expect from someone that makes and sells counterfeit items.

Have a great day.

ya i cant imagine replying like he did to buyers that i would have to say is out of line. my issue is more emails. i get some very rude mails along the lines" that item is garbage, il give you (50+%) less then what you are asking". or other things criticizing me. been hitting my morale hard recently.

I hear you... all sellers receive trash messages like that.

I immediately add the person who sends the message to my blocked buyer list.

That's the best revenge... and its great for morale!   😊

This guy is over-the-top, but I'd have less sympathy for him if both the effective and indirect penalties against sellers for even a tiny amount of negative/neutral reviews weren't so draconian.

No the neutrals don't have so bad a direct effect, but eBay has by this point conditioned buyers to expect 100% positive feedback that even dropping down a tenth of a percent or having a couple of neutrals over the course of a year has a measurable negative effect on sales.

I had a recent buyer leave a neutral because he didn't like the way the International Shipping Program repacked an item that was sent overseas even though it arrived undamaged,  and another where a buyer left a neutral feedback after I gave him a 100% refund including original shipping when he sent back an item that he had clearly broken through misuse and returned under the regular return policy, NOT under an INAD.

This was a camera lens with a macro lockout on the zoom where he forced the focus with the zoom  switch on until the zoom mechanism completely broke, which would have required a hugely unreasonable amount of force to do. The thing is, the chucklehead didn't even bother to take the switch out of the locked position before he sent it back to cover up what he did!

In both cases, neither would remove the feedback after polite requests, nor would eBay remove either feedback, because they were "the buyer's opinion."  And of course, both have affected sales.

I left responses to the neutrals giving my side (in the case of the ISP sale, I unfortunately didn't know it had been repacked until after I sent it), but you can bet I sure was tempted to give both of these buyers a real piece of my mind.

There are 130 million active users on eBay.

I doubt very many of them have read that specific feedback response.

And the ones who did read it probably understood it for what it was and did not leave.

That seller is a big baby.

But I haven't noticed decrease in sales with a neut or even a neg. I don't think 100% is all that to most buyers.
