new messaging system, what are your thoughts?

with this new system idk about any one else but for some reason all my messages are visible from my "inbox" i usually "archive" old messages as we sell a lot of material from our shop so i don't want to delete the messages entirely in case something were to come up where i would need to review old messages.  however i don't want the messages clogging up my "inbox" so that new messages are very visible and  i wont miss them.  and i tend to keep relevelant messages until the buyer as received their items before archiving them 

also the text appears to be significantly smaller and the "avatars" are unneeded clutter  the icons for mark unread trash .. etc also appear to be significantly small  

overall i 100% hate the new messaging system , thankfully there is a "switch back to classic view"

i don't understand the "lets fix stuff that's not broken" mentality that eBay seems to have

I'll be ignoring messages from ebay. Responses to buyers and sellers I'm either typing on my simple text edit program, then copy/pasting to eBay, or using the "reply" on my local email software, then I don't have to deal with the mess at all. Otherwise the way words break makes me thinking I'm misspelling.

WHY would SENT messages be in the INbox???

The INbox is for INcoming messages, not messages that have been SENT! WTAF

****Yes, there IS a "Sent" folder now, BUT the sent messages still appear in the Inbox!  ????????

They are in BOTH places! 

It's cluttered.  No need for those icons. Customer info missing.

Just everything that others have already stated here.

Also, like everyone else, I'm wondering why eBay has a need to "fix" things that aren't broken!?!?

It's SO STUPID!

The old messaging system worked just fine! (a lot better than THIS new one).

I hate it too. Can't stand when people are so bored that they assume everyone else is too so let's "improve" it.  I can't see threads, only MY most recent message.  So if a buyer asked something, and I want to give an accurate response I can't even go back to make sure I understood exactly what they were asking. I love shopping on eBay, but if I can't ask sellers a question before making a purchase I may as well just take my chances on Amazon. At least I'll save money by closing my account.

I hate it, I wish there was a way to go back. I like reading my messages out of order with the ones I think will be quick first.

I don't want to see all of my buyers messages at once on the screen, it's overwhelming. 

I don't need 2 panels open for the message.

I can no longer see what country the buyer is from when I open their message.

I don't want to automatically open the top message and mark it as read. 

I'm missed a lot of messages because ebay will randomly mark it as read so I thought i've already read it.

25 year seller and I agree it's a hot mess.    Just spent several minutes deleting

several months worth of messages that had ALREADY been deleted and eBay

in their wisdom filled up my inbox with these.   

Went cross eyed trying to figure out how to respond to a buyer.

More decisions and changed implemented by some 

eBay drone that has never actually used eBay on a daily basis.

Mine just switched to the new design and i don't like it at all. I don't see any way to switch back to the old style in mine?

I don't like the layout and the graphics some things better left alone.

This by far is THE WORST CHANGE THEY HAVE EVER MADE!!!, I Hate it, the Classic view I could immediately know what needed to be taken care of and was answer and what was not, they (eBay) need to give us an option, why they don't ask sellers their opinion is Another big Mistake. EBAY, PLEASE GIVE US A CHOICE. this isn't anything that affects you, doesn't change your bottom line in any way!  However, it does affect the Sellers who make you your money!!
