with this new system idk about any one else but for some reason all my messages are visible from my "inbox" i usually "archive" old messages as we sell a lot of material from our shop so i don't want to delete the messages entirely in case something were to come up where i would need to review old messages. however i don't want the messages clogging up my "inbox" so that new messages are very visible and i wont miss them. and i tend to keep relevelant messages until the buyer as received their items before archiving them
also the text appears to be significantly smaller and the "avatars" are unneeded clutter the icons for mark unread trash .. etc also appear to be significantly small
overall i 100% hate the new messaging system , thankfully there is a "switch back to classic view"
i don't understand the "lets fix stuff that's not broken" mentality that eBay seems to have

I dont check my messages, i check my email. Its really annoying that buyers are now sending muliple messages instead of just combining into a paragraph. I dont need one email that says. "Ill take the one with the red cover"
Another email "with the green base"
And another "with the round handle"
And another "thanks"
Gaaah... stop hitting send... wait til you have your whole thought here

With the new system, those messages would all be in the same thread, like a text message.
You would see them all with one glance.
Isn't that great?

the older system i can priority nessage, i can sort all importance masseage, i can sort all none importance ebay message, i can move all file where ever it should be.
the new message i don't have a clue where all the message are, and affaiy if i message all up.
need to go back - i pray to god.

Praying that eBay listens to our complaints and continues to tweak this new system so that it works FOR us sellers, not against us! The ONLY thing I like with this update is that messages come up together in a thread/text form, so I don't have to go back and forth and find messages that were sent/received.
Now for the things I DO NOT like
1. As soon as you open the inbox, the top message is already opened and marked as read, so I have to manually mark it as unread every time
2. I can no longer see what messages are on items ending that night. They used to come up with a red title. (At the end of the day, I always go through my inbox and quickly answer messages for items ending the night of)
3. I can no longer add Q&A to the bottom of the auction when buyers ask an important question that I want to share with other bidders
4. When I go from my auction listing page and click "Respond to questions" next to an item, it just takes me to the entire inbox, not to the message on that particular item
5. I can no longer flag/prioritize important messages
6. I can no longer search the inbox by the eBay item number. I have an item that has 5 questions, but If I search by the item number it says there are no messages. If I search by a word in the title the messages come up.

I've never seen someone declaring that a discussion is over to help actually end the discussion. Usually it means the discussion is far from over and that there is no consensus, in fact.

Ahhhhh... I just discovered ANOTHER thing. You can no longer "REPLY WITH OFFER"!
They shouldn't have taken that away without providing some other means to extend a special offer.
HEY, I USE THAT!!
Which just brings me to some more 'cheese and whine'!!!
1. Why can't we extend special offers to whoever we want, whenever we want to?
2. When sending offers via the list of "Items Eligible for Offers", why can't we know who
we are sending them to?
Example:
Someone inquires about some item(s), and I'm working with them to create killer deal.
I can't simply send an offer for them to accept and purchase. So, I have to create a 'special listing' (which is a PIA! More time consuming, they have to go find it, etc.). AND THEN, in the interim, I send offers from my eBay-generated (and shrouded in secrecy) list, only to find out that I've just sent offers to the person I've been working with, causing them to be confused and think I must be cracking up or something!
THIS has happened SO MANY times!! Dare I say, sicka-fracka-ricka-ratsen

Only if you don't know the 'secret'!!
It's terrible if you access it from under the "Feedback" heading (via the "leave feedback" link"),
which is where one would naturally go!!
BUT...
If you access it from under the "Orders" heading (via the link that says "Shipped and Awaiting Your Feedback), it is not terrible. It actually has everything that you had before that change was made.
Ridiculous? Yes!
I mean, for what reason would there be 2 different ways to access the same functionality,
and why are they so different? And why would the REAL "leave feedback" be under the ORDERS heading vs. the FEEDBACK heading (where one would expect it to be)?
