@quackman88

What do you mean?

In the last month, you've received of 50 feedbacks from buyers and you've left over 75 feedbacks for buyers.

What is meant by "not enough info provided?"

Re: new feedback system

Tell eBay exactly what you think of the new feedback system.

Go to your own feedback page and use the comment button in the lower right, or try this link:

From another thread:

First, they no longer have the buyer's name listed so I cannot search on that. While I can search on the item sold, if they have bought multiple items then I have to do multiple searches. This also means I have to load all the feedback which can take quite a few clicks to get it done.

Second, the delivery date of the item is gone so I no longer know when the item was delivered and if 30 days have passed. For those buyers who don't leave me feedback (about 95%) I leave them feedback after the 30 day return window. Now I have no way of knowing when that window closed.

Third, they no longer make the title of the sale clickable so that I can pull up the transaction and find out the delivery date of the item. So I will have to manually look up each item in another tab to get the information I need so I know when to leave feedback.

Fourth, it no longer remembers feedback I've left before so that I can start the sentence and have it autofill. I've had to create a Word file of the different feedback I use so then I can cut and paste them. This is far too time consuming. I don't want to use automated feedback because it won't allow me to wait 30 days past the delivery date.

Personally, the third point above makes the least sense for me.  It's insanely easy to add a direct link to an auction on the feedback page.  What is the reasoning behind not doing so?

Re: new feedback system

Agree!!! 100%.  The new system is terrible for us to provide the best service to our customers.  I have had a number of them where I have discovered that the package was lost in the mail and contacted the customer first so that they know that I am working on it with the Post Office, Fed X or UPS..

Now, that is taken away, or at least, now it takes a whole lot more effort to help OUR (my and e-bays) customer.

The only other thing, if a customer cancels the transaction before it is even sent, it would be helpful if e-bay took them off the list of feedback to be sent.

Bottom line??   GIVE US THE OLD SYSTEM BACK.

(Oh, keep the photo thingy in place.  It is nice to get a damaged package picture when needed)

I haven't used this yet, but it does seem like the one good thing to come out of this update.

Re: new feedback system

New feedback system is awful.  I no longer use it.  What is ebay thinking.  Classic example of being out of touch with what youir users need and want.

Re: new feedback system

I agree with everything you said.  Its very non-user friendly and makes leaving accurate feedback so time-consuming, and thats one of the smaller gripes.  Worst feedback system in the 25 years Ive been using this site.

edit: for the first time ever i will no longer be leaving feedback, even though I know this will hurt my own feedback, since a lot of members wont leave feedback until they receive it first.  Thanks, out-of-touch ebay, for always finding new ways to screw us

@kevhael

Well I don’t know what you are looking at BUT

1) On my feedback page the name and feedback score of my buyer is shown, and both are clickable links

2) I don’t remember the actual delivery date ever being shown, only "past month", "six months" and "year".

3) While the title itself is not clickable, it is followed by the item number and it IS clickable

4) When I go to leave feedback it defaults to “stored messages” and I can have several to many already typed out so all I have to do is simply click to post. In other words I do NOT have to "create a Word file of the different feedback I use so then I can cut and paste them".

Additionally, I can click on “custom message” if I want to enter something unique.

As for item #2, when I go to my Sellers Hub page list of sold items each sale does show the delivery date along with, again, the buyers name and feedback score both of which are clickable.

Seems fine to me.

Re: new feedback system

@richard1rst

Unfortunately, the feedback page seems to change frequently so it doesn't surprise me that you don't see what others were seeing at the time.  The newest change (last few days?) is that there are larger than necessary Positive/Neutral/Negative feedback buttons:

kevhael_0-1723792692879.png

Not only is this a clunky and visually unappealing design, it makes everything less compact.  Leaving feedback should be made as easy as possible to encourage people to leave feedback.  My guess is they have a new team working on "improving" the feedback system and just keep rolling out changes for the sake of rolling out changes.

1) On my feedback page the name and feedback score of my buyer is shown, and both are clickable links

This may have been added back after the post I quoted, not sure.

2) I don’t remember the actual delivery date ever being shown, only "past month", "six months" and "year".

Same as above

3) While the title itself is not clickable, it is followed by the item number and it IS clickable

This is still not the case for me - the only clickable link is the username.   I had to write a script to add a clickable link to the listing.

This may also be a new change.  This was a HUGE headache for a lot of folks when eBay rolled out feedback page changes.  It didn't affect me much, but there were a ton of complaints for a bit.

As for item #2, when I go to my Sellers Hub page list of sold items each sale does show the delivery date along with, again, the buyers name and feedback score both of which are clickable.

But the discussion is about how the feedback page is less user friendly and makes leaving feedback more of a chore.  If you need to navigate to a separate page to gather information, leaving feedback becomes more inconvenient and fewer people will bother.

Seems fine to me.

Honestly, if the recent feedback changes still work for you then I'd call that a win.  I'm pretty annoyed that I need a script to achieve what was already a default, and even with the script leaving feedback takes more time than before.  I just find it baffling that eBay keeps "fixing" things that ain't broke.

Re: new feedback system

New feedback system absolutely blows, feedback should be for the buyer/seller, should not be forced to rate the purchased item.

Totally agree with this.

I do not make/manufacture the items I sell, so why is my rating tied to the quality of the sold product?

Re: new feedback system

I have not looked at the feedback section much since the June 2024 changes. I just looked today and the September 2024 changes are even worst. Personally I think ebay should make it so you cannot leave feedback for a sale and only buyers can leave feedback. For now I'm only leaving feedback for my sales when a buyer sends me a message asking for feedback.
