recently sold a used motherboard and the buyer says it was missing parts, i had in the description what it came with and the pics also showed what it came with. It did not have the NVME heat sinks on it which you can see in the pics and was not listed as coming with.
He is using the missing NVME heat sinks as a reason to return it threatening negative feedback if i don't accept a return.
What do you do in this case and what would ebay do? They have already put the funds on hold.
My only concern is ebay will give him his money back and i am out of a working motherbaord or he will send it back broken as he keeps making threats.

So product and service that is delivered consistently well by a seller helps improve the bad buyer experience. That’s a hoot. Good seller providing excellent product and service to a BAD buyer. Sorry had to throw that in there. I know what it really means. All buyers are good buyer and deserve a positive experience . Even if they are leaving innapropriate feedback or threatening sellers with bad feedback if they wont do what they want.

Accept the return and report your buyer. If they leave a negative you probably won't be able to get it removed without some special effort even though it is against policy to feedback extort.

"You forgot to say that in most cases with a INAD you will not win a chargeback."
That depends. This has been said so much on the threads that often times a seller doesn't even try to win a Chargeback, they just wait and see what the outcome is. Being proactive can make all the difference if you have proof that the buyer is not being truthful. Submitting all your evidence you have supporting your side when a Chargeback for any reason is filed can make all the difference.
They are not easy to win, that is for sure. But that doesn't mean they can't be won.
Most sellers simply don't want to take the risk of being hit with the $20 fee if they loose the INAD. Just insult to injury.

The photos do not show a part that is not included.

How long does a negative stay on your account? I think it used to be a year.

he never sells only buys with 100 percent and 2,000 feedback.

It stays forever, but it only shows in the 12 month recap at the top of the FB page for 12 months. The percentages that ebay shows for all sellers is for the last 12 months.

@slyders_finds wrote:I have never heard of Ebay not reimbursing of Fees. Do you have a Ebay source for this or just heard this somewhere? The seller also risks a fine for fighting a INAD return. Ebay has the option of charging $20. Definitely hitting while you are down.
Hi, @slyders_finds The information i shared is from eBay policy pages in regards to their Money Back Guarantee, see link below:
“If we determine that you are responsible for providing a refund to the buyer, we'll issue the refund and then seek reimbursement from you. You won't receive fee credits if this happens, and the case will be counted as "closed without seller resolution", which can affect your seller performance level.”

Thanks. Learned something new. I don't get alot of returns. I think 2 in 19 years. One was a guy who ordered a pair of shoes but didn't know what size he was buying. Another was a defective pair of Redwing.

You are welcome! Always happy to help.
Good on ya’ for having such a low return rate—that is impressive, @slyders_finds .

I don't understand what you were trying to inform @dbfolks166mt of with your response. What they said was correct, that sellers accept the dispute to avoid the gamble of possibly not winning and being charged the 20 dollar fee.

I am super transparent in descriptions(if there are any defects) and photos. Maybe a little too OCD, but I know collectors respect that so they don't waste their time with a purchase. I am not a huge seller so I have time to test things. For something like a Vinyl Record, I play it 100%. Mentioning any skips, excess noise, how flat it is. "6 heavy clicks on Side 2, Track 3." Etc. 😄
