Did you mean:

need some advice on a buyer using a freight forwarder in Delaware

sold item today 11/18/22

Buyer is from South Korea using the Delaware freight forwarder. feedback looks good. They made a few bids on my item, but I ignored due to their location. Just a little baffled why someone in South Korea is so interested in a Notre Dame item. I'm used to buyers in Japan, but South Korea is new one for me.

They bought the item today and paid. All good right?

They follow with this message after paying:

Hello
Are you going to ship today?
Thanks

I responded with earliest is tomorrow. If that is an issue, I can cancel.

Have not heard anything back from buyer?

Don't worry.

South Korea is a modern, educated, artistic society, a constitutional republic, and highly developed technologically.   Your buyer is likely like many other buyers throughout the world who really need/want the item for a specific occasion.   Delaware-based freight forwarders may take longer to deliver packages to Asian or European countries than, say, a package going from Boston to Los Angeles via USPS.   As an eBay seller, your responsibility ends when the package is received at the Delaware address.

Go ahead and mail the item.

Congratulations on the sale!

I forgot to add

I'm in the U.S.

The buyer is in South Korea

Why would the buyer be worried about shipping item out today? Could I be getting set up for a claim of some sort?

You must admit... it's a hard-to-find item. I'm a ND fan, and would be if I were in South Korea, too. Don't overthink it... ship it.

Scammers look for "high value" items that can be easily resold.   Your item is so unusual I doubt it would be a scam.

They might be a former international student who went to Notre Dame.

Don't overthink this.  You made a sale, and you ship.  Be grateful for the sale and count your money.  Good luck on your selling journey.

Re: need some advice on a buyer using a freight forwarder in Delaware

Congrats on the sale.  I sell a lot that freight forwards from Delaware.  They probably were trying to time another package for a bundle.  Not that it will matter in the end for you but for them it might save them a couple of bucks!

If I moved to SK I'd still be a ND fan.

Odds are they are ND alumni living in SK.  Typically, there are more Americans living in South Korea than Japan.

Probably a gift, as this is the season.  Might be a US citizen studying in South Korea.  or a ND grad, working in South Korea.

What exactly is your problem. With your experience on eBay you have no clue about reshippers?

Bought. Paid. Ship

Just ship the darn item.   I have no problems with re-shippers.  Let them know once you ship.  Send them the tracking # if you don't use Ebay shipping.
