Hi,
On my selling account (had for 17 plus years) I have an offer on an item from a buyer with private feedback. They have been on Ebay for about 12 years and have changed their user ID 8 times - they are on their 9th ID as of April 23rd. This offer is several hundred dollars.
I try not to be overly cautious but this one makes me very leery. I would appreciate your experienced thoughts on this. 😊
thanks!

Im using an ipad so this may be why Im not seeing it, but, the ID history link doesnt show to the right when I click on a users feedback numbers
Ive changed my ID many times, just because I wanted to "wear" something different 😋 but changing IDs that many times coupled with private feedback is just plain suspect

You've changed your ID 6 times since 2001, and the OP's buyer has changed theirs 8 times in 12 years; to me, that doesn't seem substantively different. Private feedback is a completely separate issue.

When a user changes id, only id get`s blocked, but the user can still buy under changed id - something eBay didn`t consider when creating the site.

Here's another NO! not only no, but F^&% NO! Vote...
Changing ID's is not so bad, but private feedback AND changing IDs? BAD joo joo.... Stay away..... block instantly. My blocked buyer list is LOOONG...although, I have been here since 98...so...yeah, 22 years of blocking....whew...so tired now...
I don't deal with anyone who can't read an auction or private feedback. Usually nothing but trouble from those people. I've had a few non paying bidders through the years, but managed to avoid trouble for the most part because of avoiding these types of people. I can count the incidences on one hand in 22 years. I still gristle at some of those, but they were learning experiences. Avoid the pain. If you don't feel good about a bidder, block em!
