Item $1 Black Eagle Note 1899 Series was listed twice with 2 different item numbers- so you have 2 of them, right? Just ship one to each buyer.

Re: multiple counter-offers accepted. what to do?

I did most of my ebaying years ago.  just getting in again, to sell-off inherited collection.  not fond of all the changes to everything.  apparently, I screwed up and generated 2 different postings, but only have the one item.  what now???

guess I get to explain to one of them that I screwed up, and don't have the item for them.  there goes my seller rating, right?

One cancellation for "Out of stock" won't hurt you, but a second defect point could be a serious problem. If another seller is offering one, you could protect your account by purchasing the item from the other seller and sending it to your "extra" buyer.

Item number 203809989568 sold first, item number 203826722445 sold second.

If you only have one but accidentally listed it twice, that does not explain why you chose to accept two offers when you knew you only had one of them.

That aside ..

If both buyers pay then you have cancel one order as "out of stock" and take a defect. One defect is not an issue, but if you have other defects and it pushes you over the edge then it could affect your seller rating.

They sent counter offers to both buyers, thinking both offers were on the same listing. Both buyers accepted and- unfortunately- the offers were on different listings.
