money still not recieved?

I am selling a old phone of mine for $332 and I printed the shipping label, went over to the UPS store and asked how much a box is, I bought the box and left the phone there when he said he will ship it. that was this morning, its 1:24 now and I still have not recieved the payment. paypal says $332.66 on hold, how will I recieve my payment? I have already shipped the item, but from what I have heard you are supposed to recieve the money after the item ships. am I incorrect? does anyone know how to help me, or can someone tell me what I did wrong? $300 is alot of money to me, i really dont want to get scammed/not recieve the money. thanks.

Generally PayPal releases the funds 3 days after the item has been delivered.

Please tell me you got a tracking number and posted it to the shipping info

You  NEVER ship unless there is a statement in your paypal account on the transaction "ok to ship"........

From what you say, I can't tell if there is a problem with the payment or they simply have a hold on your $$ because you are new........

Frankly, I would call paypal and ask.......if you mailed USPS you can stop the shipment, but it will cost you some money....but for $300 it would be worth it.

You NEVER ship an item until you have logged into your PayPal account and verified that the payment is actually there, and you see the message, "OK TO SHIP".

  If there is no payment in your account, it means the buyer HAS NOT PAID. The buyer now has no incentive to pay you, and eBay cannot force the buyer to pay.  You have basically sent the buyer a 'gift'.

  You can open an unpaid item claim against the buyer, but that won't force the buyer to pay you, it will just get your Final Value Fees refunded to you.

Wait a minute. If you log into your PayPal account, can you see the payment pending there? That is, you can see the transaction, and your balance has gone up by $332.66, right? (Even if you can't withdraw it yet, you should still be able to see it there.)

There is a common scam directing the inexperienced seller to ship the item and upload the tracking number (somewhere) before the funds will even be deposited or visible in your account. That is not how real sales work, and if that's what you're seeing here, then you need to see if you can reclaim your package pronto, because you're being scammed.

You should not ship until the funds have cleared in your PayPal account, and PayPal is directing you to ship. When you look up the transaction in your PayPal account, what do you see there at this time?

Check your PP account by logging in directly. Do not use links in any emails.

If there is no money shown as pending, come back here ASAP.

You can do a package intercept at your PO for the package if you have been scammed and act in time.

the money says "pending" so does that mean i will get it soon after the package delivers?

my paypal says "payment pending" the seller did send the money, but it says its "on hold" I do not know when the money will no longer be on hold (otherwise, when the payment goes through)

I was given a tracking number that has a sticky back, I do not believe I was supposed to ship it inside the box, because the guy working there said he will ship everything. ups says it still has not shipped, but the shipping label was created. is this because the ups store has not shipped the item yet, or would they have shipped it by now?

You need the tracking # to enter into ebay and paypal. 

You just left the phone there and they are going to pack and ship it? Did they tell you how much you will be ripped off paying for that service?

If you DON'T enter the tracking # in ebay and paypal, your funds won't clear for 21 days - provided you don't get some old dead phone back ..............

It means UPS hasn't picked up yet and scanned it.

The tracking number should have been entered automatically  in the eBay transaction, in your Sold section in My eBay, when you printed your shipping label.  Does the sticky receipt from the UPS store have a different number? Did you pay them for anything other than purchasing the box?

Your description of your actual shipping process at the UPS Store is confusing. Normally you would have taped the eBay-printed label onto the box and the guy at the UPS Store would have scanned your shipping label that you had printed, and it would have immediately registered as shipped.  Sometimes when I drop off a UPS package, they will scan it in for me right there.  Did you leave the store before he had even packed your item?

Did you actually witness him packing it and sealing the package?

The OP didn't print a label thru ebay - that's why they have to enter it in ebay and PP, or else they will be waiting for 21 days.
