You started this thread several days ago. You've made your buyer wait all this time for a partial refund? Is your buyer upset with you?

It's possible the buyer hasn't requested anything and the seller has decided to compensate before it escalates.

Many things are possible as the OP didn't say much and hasn't come back. We could just guess, but that really is a waste of time. If it isn't important enough for the OP to come back and talk with us, then it is likely they have no need for any advice anymore.

Good morning all - I did not know there were other comments here that I did not see. I appreciate your replies to my question. Thank you for wanting to help or to play the "guess what he did" game. lol. So here's what I did. I have never had much success using the Ebay calculater - It calculates the shipping cost but it always cost more then that when I bring my item to the p.o. .
So I use a flat rate on the auction and then refund any overage. If I state 15.00 shipping and it only cost 10.00 I will issue the buyer a refund of 5.00. That way my shipping cost is accurate. Sometimes it cost more then my guesstimate. Maybe most times. Has anyone else had that problem? I eat that extra cost. When I send the partial refund I will do it within a few days. Usually the buyer is not expecting the refund - so I dont think he is upset. I've gotten good feedback from some of my buyers because of this. Is this procedure ok to use? If I refund in 4 days is that too long?
If someone replies to my post and answers my question or gives me a suggestion - and I say thank you I will try that, does that mean I should make another statement saying I will not be back to read any further comments? Thank you for your time and opinions. I will be back to read any comments though it may take may take a few days.

The Ebay calculator works great. However it is only as good as the numbers the seller puts into it so it can calculate shipping correctly. So if you are having problems with it, it is likely you have not put the correct numbers in.

No, but since everyone that responds do so using their own personal time in order to try to help others, it would be nice to let them know if they actually helped you and if you got your issue resolved.
