it used to be that when you "accepted an offer" the items would appear in "awaiting payments" now we no longer have that option (which i absolutely hate)
i do a lot of "combined shipping" and often have to send an invoice with the corrected price for shipping and there's no way to know what the shipping costs are when i have a buyer purchasing multiple different items / lots
if i accept an offer i don't want it to remain in active listings as i have a buyer already for that item no need to have other people sending me messages / lower offers than i have previously accepted

how do i send an invoice now?
When "accepting" offers from buyers, and you want to do combined shipping the first thing you can do is TURN THESE OFF:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements
Buyer Rules:
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.
*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.
These are the preferences EBAY chose to supposedly cut down on non-payers. These are your first go to combined shipping killers. Not only do they limit the payment choices a buyer can use, buyers are billed separately for each offer you accept. Invoicing for combined shipping is not an option, since they are supposed to be billed automatically (aka auto-pay) for each one.
Buyers that want to make offers on more than one of your products know as soon as the screen shows up that requires them to provide the payment source in order to make the offer that combined shipping for a reduced cost is NOT going to be an option. You can turn these off since there is a good chance you know how to deal with buyers that don't pay already, and truly don't want to discourage those that DO pay from considering your listings.
Part II of eBay getting rid of combined shipping has to deal with offers YOU send. The buyer has no accept button, and if they want the products they must pay right away. If you send multiple offers to the same buyer (you don't get to know), they can choose the payment option of their choice but must pay for each item separately at full shipping cost. No invoicing allowed. Same goes for any "counter offers" you might accept or send. The listings in this case remain active until someone pays for them. This is for everyone, and is nothing a seller can turn off as in the case of the first scenario.
Hope this helps.
