with my basic store subscription I get 1000 listings and an additional 10000 listings in certain categories. what is the trick or procedure to get to 10000 listings? I would like that but it just doesn't seem possible. I have saved sellers which I noticed have over 10000 listings and some even have 100000 listings. how do you do that?

@orangehound wrote:You can have more than 1000 listings with a basic store subscription. The subscription just gives you 1000 "free" listings ... you pay 25 cents for each listing above 1000.
Alternatively, you can subscribe to the Premium Store, which gives you 10,000 free listings a month.
Your information is incorrect....I subscribe to a basic store that gives me 10,000 Free insertion fee listings when I list in Books and magazines

How can I list 10,000 items?
I wouldn't concern yourself with that until you have 10,000 items to sell.

"i have more than 10000 sports cards and 10000 stamps and 10000 postcards and 10000 other collectibles"
Sell 'em in lots of 1000. They will sell, & your time invested will be low.
List 'em individually, you'll be lucky if you sell 1% of the listings per year. Not worth the time invested.

I misunderstood the question. @lloydsteventaylor
Try the Bulk upload tool: (Disclosure: I've never personally used this tool.)

eBay has a set of APIs that allows you to create listings in a file and submit them.

This is how some large volume sellers create as many listings as they do. It is also how some third party tools help sellers manage their listings.
However, this is pretty heavyweight stuff unless you are familiar with making API calls.

I should also state that if I had to grind and grind all day everyday I would just rather get a job.

What I did was set up a company, buy 99,000 lbs of inventory, hire staff, and start typing. We use a business ERP to streamline our accounting, inventory, and listing process. With three staff we can fill orders, respond to questions, and add about 100 items a day. With the ERP we are building an inventory database so we can easily relist items that have gone out of stock, track item sales to know what to expand or de-emphasize, and provide ready to use templates to make listing new inventory quicker and easier. We sell specialty books but all of this process applies to any kind of retail.

I misread the OPs question. I thought he was wanting to know how to list 10,000 in any category.
