Any chance Ebay Billions $ profit company lower exorbitant fees if enough sellers complain?

Sold 3 item: $38.47, payout $27.89 = 27%

Member since 2002 going to start research on lower price selling venue.

Yes I have, although not many. Since the customers accept the abuse it may be time for regulations. I'm reminded of the image of mass graves in Ireland due to famine and they were exporting food from Ireland at the same time.  Unrestrained capitalism is deadly as any other unrestrained  power. As you can see in my words I am angry.

If you are seriously comparing fees paid on an online site you voluntarily signed up to use to people dying from famine, you have some seriously messed up thinking going on.

Re: fees

My "selling costs" have run on average somewhere around 30% for as long as I can remember. Some are much higher like when I sell an item for $10 with shipping included. The "selling costs"  %age is  way higher, but then the item only cost me a dime, so the "selling cost" is easily absorbed. I could end up with just $3.81 on the sale.

My "selling costs" include "eBay fees", but those "fees" also seem to have for as long as I can remember been the smaller part of my "selling costs".

Buy your shipping label someplace else.  Your "payout" will be more and you may think that you made more. (you may think the "fees" are lower)

I think the fees are fine, but then I have a good profit margin on my sales so the "selling costs" including "fees" (13.25% for my categories) does not really concern me.

I have no misplaced anger. I know what I pay for my items. I know about what they will sell for. I know about how much my "selling costs" will be. I know about how much I will make. Business 101.

Re: fees

ebay's fees are a bargain for me when I consider my other options. I could;

sell at auction, 35%-50% depending on hammer price in my area

sell at consignment shop, 40%-65%

Open a B&M of my own, pay rent, utilities, licenses, insurance, etc.

FB marketplace, no fees, deal with a high percentage of no shows, bottomfeeders, nutjobs, etc.

Yes to me ebay's fees are reasonable, I never pay much attention to them as I have no problems with it but I went and checked out a sale I had this morning, 4 little plates, item price $29.95, my payout after all ebay fees + shipping $30.16. Trying to get away from dishes & china but if I can sell an item for $30 and get $30 I may have to rethink that

Re: fees

If enough sellers complain, it's more likely eBay will raise its fees.

Re: fees

God luck. Don't think you'll find better.

Problem is on low priced items the 30 or 35 cents for every sale plus fees takes a big chunk percentage wise.

Re: fees

Good luck. I have found other ways to sell my stuff without dealing with fees, managed payments, bad buyers. What I ask is what I get and the money is all mine.
