I had a couple sales cancelled by the buyer. I can only leave Positive feedback. I don't have any other options. How do I fix this? Thanks

I asked someone to be nice. That gets me ten messages from the usual suspects attacking me. Lovely 🙂

With all due respect, you (or any buyer) should read the description BEFORE making your purchase.
With all due respect you clearly have not seen the countless, useless description by sellers. Many are just copying and pasting from other sellers, mismatching items with descriptions. Last cancellation was an item listed as a specific model which cost lots of money. After I purchased it, I went back to look at the pictures and after enlarging a picture with the tag information, I realized that the seller was claiming something the item was not. Of course they copied the listing that would make them the most money but the item that would have been shipped was not what was all over the listing. Since then I double check and unfortunately this is now happening often as many sellers have no idea what they are selling and refuse to do research.

My statement: "To the best of my knowledge, a buyer cannot cancel. Only the seller can cancel."
Your statement: "Come on - you know that the buyer can't cancel."
Isn't that exactly what I said? Is there a difference between "a buyer cannot cancel" and "the buyer can't cancel"?

You cannot sadly ebay refuses to let buyers have a negative experience!!!

So there's a subtle difference in the English language between the words "cannot" and "can't''?

*sigh*
Of course, you know that the buyer doesn't cancel. Clear to all - including you - that the buyer requested a cancellation, even if OP stated "buyer cancelled." So, asking "so how did your buyer cancel" seems not very nice. OP made a wording-choice error. That's okay.

Don’t worry, we can all see what they’re doing and it’s not appreciated. I doubt they’ll ever learn, though. Some people just enjoy being that way.

No, the problem is that you have this irresistible need to jump on soh.maryl every chance you get. You are creating a negative experience for users on the boards, and are not willing to take responsibility for your own actions.

If you think that my request to "be nice" was because of a difference between "can't" and "cannot," it wasn't. If you don't understand that, or don't want to understand that, I'm not sure what to tell you. If y'all want to pretend that it was about a can't vs cannot, have at it. I'm not sure what you get out of it, but you do you.

Come on now, the real question you're asking is "How can I neg this guy and hurt them?"
The answer is, you can't.
You're selling online, and people flake. It happens, it's part of it.
Don't take it personally, it isn't a fight.

Understood that the narrative created is that I jump on all of her posts and follow her from thread to thread. The evidence wouldn't support that. I looked back - I respond to about 5% of her posts, and most of my replies aren't at all "jumping on" anyone. If you'd like to continue to pile on and object if I ask someone to "be nice," that's fine.

No one thinks that. We do think you’re taking every chance you can get to be rude and then playing dumb.

"Then you came and said bonjourami will never be supportive. Very strange thread derailed early on again that would have been a lot cooler if people were nice and or funny instead of unsupportive and encouraging meanness on the threads. "
To clear up your confusion, I dont 'support' bullies.

I think some of us need to step back and take a breather.
Looking over the thread objectively, there are several missed wording intentions from a few and its blown up. A case can be made for both sides of this "discussion", but the forum as a whole doesn't benefit from it and it derails the thread's original question.
As I have witnessed before, its very easy to misread and misinterpret wording on here, along with the poster's intention. When that happens it can cause discussions like this very thread and a few others in recent memory.
We all need to tone it down as a group. And that's all I have to say about that. Take a minute and relax.
😄

Seems like you're the one who doesn't do their research. inhawaii's point stands.
