On todays episode of "What can ebay screw up?", they apparently "lost" the pair of shoes i sent in to get authenticated. They happily said the buyer would be refunded but conveniently didnt say anything about me getting my money.
Will i still get my money? Will ebay ever stop screwing everything up?
Thanks

Say what? This is crazy.
I would hope you get your $s back. Assume there was a tracking number that said they arrived?
If they don't give it back I would go to the Better Business Bureau and make a complaint BBB.org.

If they're refunding the buyer, then you should get the buyer's payment.

@schaufenzter I'm in the same situation (see my post here). I don't understand how a seller can be held responsible for a situation like this. Please tell me eBay refunded you.

Hi I am new to EBay and first 2 orders I received the money into my bank then I shipped the shoes one pair to authentication place (I did not use their label) since then the buyers canceled their orders and now the shoes have been delivered how do I get my shoes back? The other pair delivered directly to the refunded buyer.
I know now the importance of using eBay shipping labels but what about my Jordan’s and Nike airmax that have been refunded ?

Lost or somebody in Sneaker Con stole them. There are a couple of details missing from your posting. Was this related to an INR case that the buyer opened? If so how did you respond to the case or did eBay respond for you? Did you have tracking information on the package and does the tracking show the package as being delivered to the authentication center? Did you actually receive something from the authentication center stating that they had "lost" the sneakers?
EBay actually owns Sneaker Con which is the authentication center/service they use for authentication. This is not the first time I have seen a posting regarding problems with the authentication center. While you should be covered and received your payout it is possible that eBay refunded the buyer out of hide. If you do not get your payout in a reasonable amount of time I would suggest you contact eBay through the FB connection to see if you can resolve the case. If that fails I would file a police report in whichever city the authentication center is locate that you shipped to. While one report may not do much if several buyers file the report for the same reason it may prompt the police department to take action.

I’m in this situation now it’s been a month and eBay or usps won’t help me but the tracking number says lost and I used eBay label but they said they aren’t liable

I can not believe the folks that think eBay is responsible for the shipper.
You the seller are always responsible for what the shipper does, ALWAYS.....
It is 100 percent the sellers problem to get the item as described to the purchaser.
This includes all problems that can happen with any and all shippers even though such it out of you hands...
That said:
Any items going into that location lost or possible stolen, should be reported to the USPS postal inspectors:
Way to much loss and out right theft been going on around this location of authentication...
Just saying.

True. The problem is the crooked folks working at the post office or sneaker con that see that label created to go to the authentication center. That’s a golden ticket and could be big money if they’re able to “slide it” aside so they can scoop it up somehow. My package was scanned in NJ July 1st and it is now July 19th with zero movement or updates. Oh, and USPS also has a garbage webpage that doesn’t work when I try to file a missing package claim.

This is a terrible take. You clearly have no idea of the Authenticity Program works. If the item makes it to the Authenticity location safely, it is no longer the seller's responsibility.

True, but it sounds like these shipments DID NOT arrive to the authentication center. If that is the case, then eBay shouldn't be on the hook for reimbursement to the seller.

Ebay once was a diamond in the rough...ive been a 100% seller and buyer since 1999...I absolutely detest them now...I'm going to start reporting them to every branch of government for their despicable and unethical business practices. I'm taking another 17.00 loss for shipping sneakers that were bought off Amazon and their clown authentication team said failed...I detest these computer puppets in Thailand or India

You have NO CLUE ...get your facts together before you post falsehoods! It's not the sellers responsibility...we have to mail to a 3rd party "authentication center." Once it's in their possession it's OWNUS is ON THEM ...I've worked in the logistics industry for 15 years...over people who don't know the facts!
