Ebay is not syncing with firefox for many sellers . Tried and done everything to include deleting enhanced tracking, clearing all add-ons, clearing history, clearing cache & cookies, deleting and reinstalling firefox, caling ebay reps numerous times. All is temporarily fixed when deleting enhanced tracking or clearing cache & cookies or resetting firefox or restarting pc. But it all returns in a very short time. for example: the ebay seller hub page boxes that separate the categories, disappear and all the content of those boxes is thrown on the left side in a very long 2" wide vertical column. Same thing occurs with the description page whereas my description paragraph is thrown to the left side of page in long vertical 2" wide columns. All over the pages are these "<" marks blown up to 2" wide??? This all has been going on for approx 5 months causing me to either reset firefox or restart my desktop pc every few days to temporarily squelch the problem and allow me to go on. I think the way forward on this problem is figuring out why shutting down and resetting stops the problem for awhile and allows ebay to sync with firefox, only to have it return again. I have tried microsoft Edge and it works great with ebay but as you guys might know, Edge has no taskbar with all the things needed by an ebay seller, so please don't make this about switching to Edge, Chrome or other browsers, as that to me is giving up on the real problem, which is why ebay can't sync with FIREFOX. Been selling on ebay now for 20 years and 18 of those have been with firefox. There is a reason for any problem and someone, somewhere knows how to correct this problem. I MAY ADD THAT THESE PROBLEMS ARE ONLY SEEN ON MY END AND I BELIEVE THAT BUYERS OR OTHERS VISITING MY SIGHT DON'T SEE THIS MESS. Darn shame that we are forbidden these days to talk live with a technician from either firefox or ebay. Maybe an ebay Tech will see this post and call me !! Meanwhile I hope someone else reading this post can shed a light on this problem. Thanks

Not sure but I will check that out. Are you saying that Java should be or should not be loaded? Thanks

I'm not saying that firefox is problematic. Never used another browser in 18 years and will stick with it. But I have tested all the other top browsers and the problem does not exist, only with firefox. It's pretty obvious that there is something in the settings that is not agreeing with ebay. By the way, these same problems exist when I use Amazon with firefox. There is a little tick that needs correcting somewhere, but reinstalling or resetting firefox does not correct it.

I stopped using Firefox because I found it incompatible with how I use it with ebay. For example: as a seller I've developed a weird habit of printing out the invoice to include in the box and then I print the invoice to pdf for my records. When I print to pdf I copy the item ID number from the print preview and that's what I name the file. When ebay changed the print invoice GUI about a year or two ago, I can no longer select and copy the item number from the print preview - it's impossible try it. I reported this to the Mozilla devs about 9 months ago and never got a reply other than they were working on it. I have been using Chrome ever since and have not had that issue.

I have the latest FF as well, and recently on rare occasions your problem did pop up, but haven't seen it in a while. It is almost like it depends on which ebay server you are connect to.
@shipscript Any ideas on this problem?

eBay staff recommends Chrome in all cases, so they are designing specifically to Google Chrome. Unfortunately, because Google is in the business of collecting data (snooping), that browser has been banned from all of our business computers, and only the open-source Firefox and Brave are used. eBay also recommends using incognito mode when pages don't display correctly, so I assume incognito mode spoofs Chrome behavior.
I have occasionally seen the stylesheet problem while using Firefox, where the description window is a tall strip only 2" wide.
The iFrame containing that description does not fit the width of the rest of eBay's page, indicating either a script or a stylesheet fails to load or function, or loads/runs too late to fix the size of the description frame. When I see a that skinny strip, a page reload solves the problem, which tells me that the code did not run the first time (or had loaded too late) and was cached and ready to run as the page reloads.
I have not paid enough attention to actually do any troubleshooting, so I'll pay more attention next time I run across it.

@shipscript Thanks for the input. Strange that ebay recommends Chrome, as many odd problems on ebay and PayPal in the past were due to various versions of Chrome (or Edge for that matter), especially when printing shipping labels, while Firefox never displayed these problems.
On the FF forums over a year ago, there were discussions on this specific problem, that apparently FF traced back to ebay CSS issues, and made it clear it was not found to be a FF problem. Their solution at the time was turning off tracking protection on ebay pages, which most found solved the problem.
I still have FF tracking protection on, and only occasionally see this problem, which for me only started popping up about a month or so ago, and now has gotten much more infrequent.

Ditto, I only recently encountered the problem, but my new system has only been in place for about three months. My FF updated a day or two ago, so I'll watch for increased issues (usually I don't scroll down as far as the description, so wouldn't really know the frequency of the issue).

Just checked and no scripts are running. Java is no longer required in windows for anything, so hardly anyone even has is anymore, but thanks for that thought.

eBay does not use "Java" on any customer-facing pages. The last time it was used that way was almost 20 years ago for a few listing tools, like a category selector. At that time, and for a few years thereafter, eBay had a small third-party acknowledgement at the top of its pages along the lines of "Java, Powered by Sun" (when eBay moved from IBM servers to Sun servers). But that was for eBay's back-end server, not for anything accessed by a browser, and we eventually got eBay to remove that because of all the "Update Java" misinformation it was provoking.
2007
Nonetheless, for perhaps 15 more years, we continued to see the suggestion from fellow sellers that "update your Java" would solve eBay problems. It won't, because Java is not a part of eBay's browser interface. However, there was some indication from some users a decade ago that updating Java would somehow force other, more important, updates to the browser. In any event, that would just be coincidental to the solution and not at all related to Java.
Additionally, many erroneously assumed that "Java" was the same as "JavaScript", the latter being a built-in feature of modern browsers that is an entirely different animal than Java. Before the turn of the century, JavaScript was a browser module that could be updated independently of the browser, but by the 21st century JavaScript was an integral and inseparable part of the browser. To update JavaScript would require updating the browser itself, so a more accurate admonishment would have been to "update your browser" (which is still a valid suggestion today).
I thought I would throw a little history out there to finally put a nail in the "Java" misinformation coffin.

Did not find a solution but sincerely appreciate the many responses with interest in solving this problem. Thanks

I use firefox every day...and clear the cache sometimes 3-5 times a day. It has gotten much worse, but clearing the cache and making sure your firefox is up to date helps. eBay needs to get their act together, its pretty crazy to have to do this so often.

After updating.............be sure to close the browser and restart............
