I'm seeing more and more complaints about buyers that don't pay. Ebay use to allow sellers to leave negative feedback if a seller has had a bad experience. Those rights have been taken away. Buyers have now really taken advantage of the situation. Especially when it comes to not paying for item purchased. Resulting sellers to try to collect or end up missing a window of opportunity for them to make an extra seasonal larger profit off of an item. In some cases, it also gives the option for the buyer to find time for a better deal. Reflects on the buyers making them look cheap. The seller also has to take the extra time to relist. What happens when we don't make a car payment, mortgage payment, water, electricity, IRS, credit card bills, amongst other things. Sellers right to leave a negative comment, would make the buyers pay. No excuses.

Well right now a seller can't leave negative feedback right now. Especially when they don't pay. So what good is that?

"It's okay for a buyer to retaliate?"

Could buyers be retaliating right now in some way by not paying for items knowing we cannot leave them negative feedback?

I explained this upthread. The most important thing to do is file the Cancellation for Non payment. That puts and unpaid strike on the buyer's account.
For sellers that have their Site Preferences for Buyer Requirements set to the strictest rule which is 2 in 12 months, as more and more sellers file their cancellations for non payment, more and more buyers that have a habit of doing this will be blocked from purchasing.

If a buyer posts a negative FB in retaliation, there are rules in place that will assist the seller from getting it removed if the buyer broke any of the rules. This doesn't happen near as often now as it did in pre 2008.
Important to remember that simply because a seller disagrees with what a buyer said does not mean the buyer was wrong.

Well that would not be too bright to intentionally damage the health of their buying account in an effort to retaliate against the seller for some unknown reason. Simply doesn't make any sense.

Cents?

It's just seemingly like we are justifying that it's okay for a buyer to bid an item up or bid on an item and not paying. With no recourse or punishment? Knowing they will not receive a negative comment from a seller. Is there a solution? Some buyers do have more than one account. They could change their ID.

I wasn't talking about money.

"Cents?" What does that mean?

No one has said that but you as far as the justification for non payment. Several times in this thread it has been explained to you how it will affect the buyer if they are misusing the system. You seem to think that getting a negative review is the worst thing that can happen to a member and that simply isn't true. You just seem to want to gloss over what has been explained and go back to the negative FB procedurel

Non payment by buyers does that make cents?

The big answer is "both." Noted that you selected your own post as the "best answer," but I really don't see how asking me whether I'm a buyer or a seller solves your concern about sellers leaving negative feedback.
Maybe you'd like to explain how you think your post is the best answer/solution to your thread.
Also, if you need someone to explain why people post with posting ids or buying ids again, let me know.
