eBay, you need a new button for ending listings early for GTC

I believe we need a new box to check on ending listings early.

A box for canceling listings early to avoid them rolling over as GTC again.

Item no longer for sale, lost, broken or error in listing don't cut it now when I end my listings early do to GTC.

Ending early due to GTC! Let's have the truth, it wasn't lost, stolen, broken, or an error. Love that we all have to cancel them right at their golden minutes at the end, especially auctions.

Messes with your snipers who will wonder where the auction they were planning to hit in the last few minutes went.

Don't make snipers mad when they see tons of auctions disappearing.

JK, sort of, we need a new box, again 🙂

This is another reason why one should use inventory listing software such as GarageSale as eBay's tools are from a bygone era. eBay's tools compared to GS is like comparing a horse and buggy to a bullet train.

Select a folder full of listings and have GS end them all while you do other work.

To relist them select the same folder and relist them all now or create a "event" to list them at a given date and time in the future.

I typically like to use GTC folders named Fixed 1, Fixed 2, Fixed 3, etc. I then keep a list of dates these groups should end (a eraser board works great for that). Or simply name the folders using the end date such as "Aug 1" instead of "Fixed 1".

Re: eBay, you need a new button for ending listings early for GTC

I've used GTC for years and much prefer it to automatically ending listings.

I do check periodically to see if my GTC listings are performing as expected.

This is easy.

Put your Active Listings in chronological order as Ending Soon.

If you have 10  (or one or 100*) listings you do not want to relist click on the box on the left of the title.

Choose END.

Those listings will end and move to your Unsold Items List.

They will rest there for up to 90 days in case you want to relist them, and then will disappear (forever).

I prefer to use Sell Similar if I am relisting from my Unsold List, because I believe those will be considered as Newly Listed, while Relist is not. I might be wrong.

*If you choose the box on the left top of the list of titles you can choose the whole page.

It would be nice if it said "no longer listed" instead of " no longer available"   Many buyers would not think of emailing to see if the item is still available.   As I mentioned, someone emailed me and I was able to have a friend list with their available listings since I was out for the month.
