I believe we need a new box to check on ending listings early.
A box for canceling listings early to avoid them rolling over as GTC again.
Item no longer for sale, lost, broken or error in listing don't cut it now when I end my listings early do to GTC.
Ending early due to GTC! Let's have the truth, it wasn't lost, stolen, broken, or an error. Love that we all have to cancel them right at their golden minutes at the end, especially auctions.
Messes with your snipers who will wonder where the auction they were planning to hit in the last few minutes went.
Don't make snipers mad when they see tons of auctions disappearing.
JK, sort of, we need a new box, again 🙂

At the moment in time that you end the listing, it is no longer available for sale. That is NOT a lie, it is a fact. The seller at some point in the future may decide to repost it or they may not. Seller choice.
You must not have paid attention to the OP's complaint. The OP thinks when you end a listing you have to lie. You DO NOT have to lie. If you lost it or damaged it you can choose that option. If you decide you just want to end it you can also choose that option. Regardless of the option chosen it is now NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR SALE.

and to delete the item from his / her Watch List.
He had up to 29 days to buy it.
And he didn't buy it.
If you think he will buy it, you can send him a Message about buying it (a new option, and in my opinion , a dumb one) or you can leave it up for another 30 days in hopes he will stop looking and buy.
I mean.
There's the price.
There's the shipping cost.
There might even be the Best Offer option.
And he didn't buy in 29 days.

Others are not paying attention.
No reason is needed to end a GTC listing.
As has been explained 2-3 times a seller can just end a GTC listing.
Action---- end---- done.

Snipers bid on auctions, not fixed price listings (no matter when they're ending).
What I'd really like to see is the ability to end actual auctions (with no bidders, obviously) in bulk. Irritating as heck to have to end them one by one.

I am honestly curious why anyone would be ending a lot of auction listings at once, but regardless, you can do that easily. Just select the ones you want on the all-selling page by checking the little box, then go to the top or bottom and select the END button.
Can you share why you would want to do that?

You can't do that with auction listings only fixed price.

I didnt follow through by actually hitting the end button, but at least for me, I have the ability to do so. I have even done it in the past, when I discovered a big error in multiple listings caused by me copy /pasting too fast. See screen shot:

This is what you would see if you actually click the end button:

One reason for doing that would be an emergency like a traffic accident or going into early labour.
Or having the storage shed burn down taking the stock with it.
Or selling on another site, although usually that would affect only one or two items.

I would have sworn that I had done it at one time, but I guess that time they were fixed-price. Anyways, I double-checked just now and you are 100% correct. I get exactly what you posted. I do try to learn something every day, this was one for today!

I ended an item due to no more free listings. Luckily, an interested buyer emailed and I was able to have a friend, who had listings left, list it. So, yes there should be a way to end that does NOT say the item is no longer available!
Selecting "no longer available" has no real meaning. It doesn't affect the seller, a buyer or the listing.
