now the shipping costs more than the product itself?. We can be happy that the new online stores such as Tehmu and many others that have the same products free shipping from €20. Ebay has lost its market place for many buyers which is very sad.

You have a link for that statement? You are on the U.S. site, and shipping charges have gone up again in this country. No shipping is ever 'free', the shipping fee is rolled into the price.

There's that old saying...'you get what you pay for'.

A lot of items for sale on Temu are poorly made in China.

     As bonjourami stated shipping is NEVER free somebody is picking up the tab. In the case of Temu most of the items are shipping out of China and the Chinese government is picking up the majority of the tab. You will see the same thing on eBay with a lot of the items coming out of China. 

     You cannot really blame eBay for the shipping costs since eBay has nothing to do with the logistics other than the EIS hub they run and even that depends on the established carriers. EBay is not Amazon and does not operate a fleet of delivery vehicles. 

     You are in Finland which has exceedingly high shipping costs both internal to Finland and internationally. I would not say eBay has lost its place in the market but I would agree that buyers are looking at a different set of sellers on the platform.

The product is a piece of cheap Chinese carp that is no longer being sold on Ebay. The price is the same as it was but Temu is sending two of them for the price. It probably is carp but I feel I had to try Temu out. And they are offering a $5 refund if the shipment is late.

     There is always the quality issue. It goes back to the old saying you can have it quick, cheap or good, pick one.

Ebay, like the sellers who associate with it, are at the mercy of our government.
The policies and laws of our government affect the business environment in which we swim.

Our government sets policies and prices.

The prices that we have to charge you are not, in large part, under our control.

China government subsidizes everything; to the detriment of America, and its citizens.

If you want the poison that China offers ... hey, buy it.  I believe in freedom of choice.
I can only hope that you end up with everything you deserve.

Hahaha  - OMG - I see a lot of people conveniently disparaging Temu for selling cheap China Junk - Really?? - Who do you think put A LOT of their eggs in the cheap China Junk Basket LONG before Temu was ever around?? And now they are being out sold at their own game - How can you compete when 30% to 50% of the cheap China Junks selling price on this site are FEES.

I personally have heard nothing but good from people that have bought on Temu - I wouldnt buy there, but I didn't buy the Cheap China Junk here either - Well once... Pair of headphones that were surprisingly OK

The funny thing about it is a lot of the people complain that all temu is is cheap stuff made in China but yet they go to Walmart and buy the same cheap stuff from China.

Same. Bought a grill cover and a pool net and they are both very well made. I think the whole "gotta hate on temu" is mostly politically motivated.
