What's funny is last week my friend and I were talking about alligators and I checked my Google news feed and low and behold there's a news article about gators in the feed. Weird.

They still record, and then they filter keywords, which then get added to your Ad profile.

So you can have a conversation with someone in person then see Ad's related the next day.

That is typical of cell phone providers. How to turn it off or block? No idea. 

We pay for service / security and still get abused with our information being shared /sold, and listening.

I use Duck Duck Go to block tracking on my Android Apps. It blocks a lot of tracking requests.

I was looking at some items that I've never even looked at on eBay over on Amazon, sure enough there were some suggestions on my eBay page of the same items! Oh shock! LOL

You literally have to take out the battery on your phone.    The mic is always on.

I use a desktop or my laptop for all my shopping online.  Then for months afterwards, I get ads on my computer and my phone.  It is so annoying.

Let us not forget that those that have devices like a Dot or Alexa, or whatever kind one might have, they are always listening.  

Also this is why the government is trying to get TicTok under control because they have access to too much info on it's members and that is potentially available to the government of China.
