eBay holds

I’m definitely getting worried here. I have at least 30k worth of items up and another 30k plus to put up. My items aren’t the everyday purchase they are expensive. So have to be patient. But I have a payment on hold for really alittle too long here meanwhile multiple messages from buyers looking to make deals on my other items and I’m totally stuck. I do not want to engage until they pay me for my first item. Therefore putting all these other buyers on hold until they do. It’s almost like waste. Over 1 sale just pay it out and I’ll engage and sell the rest in my inbox. Doesn’t seem too efficient of a system if people end up loosing sales because I’m not engaging until they pay the other one out. No way. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You are a new seller, subject to at least thirty day holds. You already have one not as described negative feedback on a pricey item. Ebay wants to make sure you are sending what you are advertising, and they dont want any refunds to come out of their pocket. You have $100 USPS ground delivery for a car you sold? You cant just put 'local pick up' in the description.

Until you've been selling for 90 days and sold 25 items your payments will be held until tracking shows delivered, or in 30 days if there's no tracking.

They can hold the payment for the full 30 days if you're selling in a high risk category.

Did eBay give you the buyer's address?
That happens when the buyer actually pays.

And you can buy shipping labels with the Held funds.

Newbies are often the target of scammers- but the scammer can be a buyer or a seller.

Ship.

Use Signature Confirmation.

EBay only requires this if the value of the shipment is over $750 AND there is a Not Received claim, but do it if you feel nervous.

Sell it to the buyer as a benefit for them -> no porch pirates if they have to sign for the shipment.

multiple messages from buyers looking to make deals on my other items and I’m totally stuck.

NO.

You can accept, reject or ignore Best Offers.

Even if you sent the Offers yourself, or if BO is an enabled option.

But it is poor customer service to ignore them.

You can enable Best Offer then set automatic Reject/Accept parameters.

EG - you want $200 but would accept $180 and happily accept $190. There are your parameters.

If you don't ship, you get Item Not Received disputes from paying customers and that means Defects and that means (for a newbie) a closed selling account.

Umm -- will your customer be expecting a whole car for $2800 delivered?

Heads up. Putting the photo of the whole truck in the listings for pieces only is a bad idea. Good luck to you.

You've sold 1 item recently and received negative feedback for it.

Since it sold for more then $1000, they'll hold the funds for 30 days.

If the buyer files an INAD, you won't be seeing the payment.

Have A Great Day.

For a new seller, I would concentrate on selling smaller value items and build up to the more expensive items later.  The 30 day hold on payouts, and even longer on expensive items, is a real thing you need to work through.  The one negative this early on in selling can be very alarming to eBay, you may find the holds much longer than 30 days.  And when ebay does hold your money longer, they don't tell you why.

New seller selling high dollar items. Your money will be held for 30 days

You already have a negative feedback

You have $100 ground advantage shipping on that supercharger, so you need to ship it for $100 and you can't ask for a penny more.

Seems you need to learn a little more how to sell on eBay before you jump in too far.

A lot of things make you a risk to eBay and I'm not sure how long you will last here.

You don't seem to understand that when you put a shipping price that you cannot charge a penny more than that and also since you have a shipping carrier listed then you are responsible for shipping not the buyer like your listing says.

For example:

On the set of 2 tires you have $100 ground advantage shipping to my location. That means you cannot charge me 1 cent over $100 shipping and also since you listed a shipping carrier then you are responsible for shipping them to me, not me finding a shipping carrier.

You are batting 0.00 at this point, @wcdetailing-2008

If you would like to continue selling on eBay,  it would be a great idea to ship, asap, when a buyer purchases.

"Therefore putting all these other buyers on hold until they do."  While I only see that you have the one sale, I strongly would encourage you NOT to do this when you do get more sales.  That will be a quick way to damage the health of your selling account and potentially get sanctioned by Ebay.  For a young account, that would not be a good thing.

Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816&&...

It also appears that you have a problem with your buyer of the one item you have sold.  The feedback they left shows they are pretty upset with you and the pics show why.  Has this buyer filed for a return?

This isn't a great way to start your account off.
