eBay doesn’t do anything for me.

I thought listing items I don’t use or don’t fit me and literally brand new worn once items would sell more on eBay but I’m very disappointed and I’m disappointed with PayPal too.  Verified my account three times and they even charged me fees that they shouldn’t have.  Yes they reimbursed me but the trouble to go through not worth it.   Go somewhere else.   Not worth the time or fees.  Just gonna close everything once I get a chance Amd go through other sites.

Re: eBay doesn’t do anything for me.

Hi @carmcc-4891 and welcome!

It takes time to become established on eBay. You just started, and have put all this effort into your listings, so give it some time. Some posters here have offered some good advice—one can use this time to tweak the work to make it even better, more salable, and with more keywords to draw in the buyers.

It’s impossible to know everything about the ins and outs of making sales on eBay. (I’ve been here 15 years and still learn something new everyday.) You haven’t given yourself a chance yet to figure out what the best strategies are for your items. Use this time to bring yourself up to speed.

You have some good items. The sales will come— if you just add more details and descriptors as keywords to your titles, Item Specifics and description fields. Right now, no one can find your items in a vast ocean of over a billion items listed.

It may seem redundant to repeat keywords in all three fields, but they work in tandem to optimize Search parameters and reach as many buyers as possible using those keywords, in both outside Search engines like Google as well as eBay’s Cassini .

For example, the first item that appeared in my feed from your listings is entitled “barbie fashion model collection”. Which Barbie? Name of the fashion model? Vintage or Current? Original packaging? etc. All the info needs to appear in all fields, but you only have 80 characters for the title and all the spaces need to be fully utilized. That is your first chance to pair the buyers searching for that particular Barbie with your item.

Without matching the keywords they input, your doll may not appear in the results, or so low in result placement that your competition will have the greatest advantage of being seen first. So if it were my listing, i might try something along the lines of this title:

“Chinoiserie Red Moon Barbie Doll Fashion Model 2004 Collection NIB” or the like, as an example.

I see you are not accepting returns on some of the listings i reviewed. I would urge reconsideration of that choice. Buyers may shy from a new seller. To build trust and show good faith, having a basic return policy of 30 days, buyer pays return shipping, could uphold a new seller’s image and show his/her confidence in the quality of the items for sale.

Whatever you decide, wish you much good fortune ahead!

I noticed the item you sold had a good title with lots of keywords.  That probably helped make the sale, so the suggestions to work on your other ones is good advice.

@carmcc-4891

Be sure and check your spelling.

You have a listing for :  foir wheeler exhaust

I think you mean: four wheeler exhaust

What kind of four wheeler?

What size of four wheeler?

You need to provide as much information as you can in your titles, descriptions and Item Specifics.

Have a great day.

You sold an item within a couple days of listing it, that was pretty good.  You haven't even been selling for a month.  If you thought you were going to get instant gratification, then you didn't do your research first.

Ebay doesn't charge any fees unless you sell something and/ or open a store.  So you were charged fees on your first sale as you should have been per your agreement with Ebay.

Not sure what your problems with PayPal are, but as a seller you can't use PayPal on Ebay.

I can make some suggestions that might help your items to sell.  The titles of your listings is your most valuable space.  That 80 characters is very important.  You want to use words that you think your buyer would use when searching for whatever it is you are selling.

In the title for the pasta maker you don't mention the Brand Name and you should.  For your pants, shirts, shoes, etc. state the color in the title.  Brand names in  your titles when appropriate.

Spend a little time structuring your titles.  Most important words first.

Check your shipping rates too.  Some seem a bit high and others a bit low.

If you are replying to a message from a potential buyer they are not going to see the message here. You have to reply directly to the message in the ebay messaging system.  If they want to pay you directly with Paypal then they may be trying to scam you.  They must pay directly through eBay.

Can you explain specifically what fees they charged you that they shouldn't have?
