It has now been 2 months since we first attempted to close our eBay account on April 14.
Received multiple messages from Customer Service. Have talked on phone with Customer Service.
And yet we still have not received the $53.25 refund we are due. And still can not close our account.

You have to leave your account open for 6 months after there is no activity on it. A refund would be considered as activity. Why do you feel you are owed a refund?

Unfortunately, there is indication that no account is ever removed. Inactivated, perhaps, but never removed.

Well they MIGHT actually remove the NARU ones.
Ummmm, yeah, but that might mess up the stat. Just because one doesn't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there, somewhere.

Maybe this is used to fudge the numbers with the shareholders showing them how many registered accounts ebay has.

I'll try to help with a tag, because yours don't seem to work--hopefully mine will, but no guarantees. If mine is wrong too, maybe someone else will help by posting one.

NARU just stands for no longer a register user. So when a member closes their account or Ebay closes their account, then you see NARU on their FB page.
NARU'd members aren't used in active member stats if that is what you are suggesting. But if you have something that says otherwise, please share.

What reason do they give you when you talk to them? What are the CSRs saying to you? That may give us some kind of hint as to why they haven't closed your account. The money they owe you isn't going to break the bank, so it is unlikely that is a factor other than it's mere existence. It is likely that the refund needs to happen before your account can be closed.
So if we could figure out how to get that credit applied to whatever funding option you have set up on your account, the balance may resolve.

Sorry for any hassle you've encountered, @solarlightsplus. It looks like you're working with our social media team to get the account closed and I can see they are working to take care of it. If you have further questions then please continue working with that team.
